The day was beautiful for snorkeling, calm winds, blue sky and clear water. We left the harbor at 12:30 with the captain and mate Katie. Both were very friendly and informative. The gave us some history of the area and the reefs themselves. The ride out to the reefs was very relaxing and smooth on the catamaran. When we got... More

This sunset cruise is done with a large hard decked catamaran. There is ample seating and ability to move around while you on the cruise. Our group was grandparents to a 3 year old and everyone had a great, safe time. The crew was very accomidating and came around to take pictures for each group, tell a joke or get... More

Our trip on Reef Roamer should have been billed as "swim with the jelly fish." Fortunately, they were not man o' war, just the kind that sting a little and sometimes leave a small welt. But they were everywhere and unavoidable on our trip. The day we went out the water did not seem very choppy, but when we got... More

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. Mother Nature can be tricky to deal with. The forecast will say on thing and then she decides to do something else after we leave the dock. We constantly watch sea conditions 24/7. There's a lot of awesome sea life on the reef and hope that you'll try John Pennekamp... More

Tour supposed to start at 1230 told us to be there at 1145 we didnt leave until 1 because they forgot to fill up the gas. Weather was choppy but they said still would be ok - this was completely false we couldnt see anything. The captain and first mate "kate" we smoking the whole time. Kate did not come... More

We are sorry that you had such a horrible time. The United States Coast Guard requires our crew to stay on board and watch for any one in distress, Mates are not guides on any snorkel boat. I can assure you that fuel was not forgotten. If we had engine problems then if was fixed in sufficient amount of time... More

Booked an afternoon trip. Catamaran well equipped. Crew knowledgeable and very personable. Rental equipment in very good shape. Cruised out through the canal with great views of beautiful homes and boats. About 30 minutes to destination. Once moored, water was quite choppy, difficult for some to swim to the first reef. Underwater visibility was poor and the reef didn't seem... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park are continuing to preserve the reef and sea life. We volunteer in various ways and help educate about no take, no touch zones that we visit. Our community takes this very seriously and together we continue to... More

To be honest, after the snorkelling I thought it was pretty good...before I decide to do another reef with another company. We were on a boat with around 20 people and only 2 of us were snorkelling (for first time). The crew didn't explain us much in details and they take much more time with the divers. In my opinion... We have received your review. However, we are concerned that you review is for another company as we do not take divers. Never have and never will as we are not PADI certified. We are a "snorkel only" company and concerned that your review is for a neighbor dive company. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any concerns. Hopefully... More

This was horrifying. Jellyfish EVERYWHERE. THE staff knew it but still took everyone out. Yes, I get it, you cannot control the ocean HOWEVER this should have been canceled that day. You were stung just getting off the ladder. Jumping in the water and Everyone, yes every single person had MULTIPLE STINGS. Face, all over their body. THIS COULD EASILY... More

We apologize for the inconvenience of your encounter of a swarm of jelly fish. If we can predict that there may be jellies in certain locations during jelly fish season the Captain always includes in his speech before we leave the dock to give anyone concerned a chance to step off the vessel for a refund. Also in the Captain... More

We recently went on the evening sunset/snorkel cruise with Reef Roamers. Everything was lovely except that the captain smoked the entire time, in spite of no smoking signs about. You can't say..do as I say, not as I do. I really found this offensive and probably a breech of company rules. Getting on board there was a big step from... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. You are absolutely right, the Captain should have not been smoking on board for the entire trip. I have spoke to him about this and he was reprimanded. I apologize for the inconvenience to you with bothersome smoking on board. I wish that you would have brought this to his... More

We went on an evening snorkel. An hour out, and hour snorkel and an hour back. The boat trip and the crew were the best part. Crew was friendly but the reef was dying. Not much life to it and hardly any fish. Also the water was cloudy. Much, much better snorkeling when we got to Key West.

We had a great time. Juliane was wonderful. The captain was knowledgeable and funny. Reasonable price. After the snorkeling, they passed around a "fish sheet" so that you could identify what you saw. Pretty cool.
