We went on a group snorkelling trip with Spirit to the reef and were really surprised at how amazing the marine life was. We spent the whole 1hr 1/2 in the water and got to see some really great fish - barracuda, parrot fish, angel fish and loads of others that we'd never seen before - having been to the... More

Near the town of Marathon. One needs snorkeling gear. This is not the best Keys' Reef, but it is fine for beginners. We recommend.

Went here on a snorkel trip and saw so many different kinds of fish. Loved every minute of it. Could have stayed out here the whole day. I thought this was better than the area I snorkeled in Key West a few years ago. Would love to go back. This was the first time my boyfriend went snorkeling and he... More

Great spot to take friends for swimming and snorkeling. Lots of fish and corals. This is a protected area so fishing is not allowed. Mooring balls are available so anchoring is discouraged. Make sure to take something to feed the fish.

There is a small portion of reef and loads of fish to see, divers will love it too; there are little shallows and depressions all allong, colorful and exciting. If you don't know the area there are many dive shops. There is an excellent one in Key Colony Beach on the Causeway.

We love this so much we had to make 2 trips to the reef during the week. Some of us snorkel and some scuba. It is best if you get there early before the buoys are all taken. You cannot use anchor on reef. Also you MUST have a dive flag even for snorkeling. They did have patrol out one... More

We have been to many places to snorkel in the florida keys and this one has to be the best. They have moorings that you can tie up to. If you don't have a boat there are places in marathon that will take you out to the reef. This is a must do and see trip if you are in... More

The beach is clean, water nice. You should have water shoes when going. Great views. Plenty of parking, good snorkeling.

The beach was great and water warm. Because the water is shallow with no surf, you can walk out into the water. Lots of parking.

Great day and conditions. Starfish snorkel tours most excellent. Calm water sun no people. Stellar experience with the kids.
