I've come to Crandon Park before with my sister to spend a normal day on the beach. Pay to park and you have your own private beach and picnic/grilling areas you can reserve in advance. It's nice for that more relaxing beach time compared to the packed and lively Miami Beach. Boyfriend and I came on 4th of July because... More

Crandon Park beach is extremely nice--clean and not crowded during the week. Of course, most beaches are crowded in Miami on the weekends. The beaches are very easy to get to and very relaxing. If you want time out in the sun and water (even w/some decent snorkeling), Crandon Park beach is it.

Ok I'll cut right to the chase. This Park has lovely views and much potential. But the place is litter ridden. Considering how nice many of the parks are in this County it is a shame how poorly maintained this one is kept. DO NOT walk barefoot through the park area nor should you allow children to go barefoot even... More

Arrived early on a weekday to an almost deserted beautiful sandy beach with tropical palms which goes for ever. Seaweed not that prevalent the day we visited but unable to get a bed or umbrella as all locked. Just one cafe with very limited menu and cash only was such a shame for this what could be thriving beach.

I grew up in Coral Gables and went too Crandon Park Beach many times in my youth. While on vacation in Miami I took my family too the beach. While the view of the water is still very nice the beach looked like an ashtray. Cigarette butts were sticking out of the sand at every step. After going in the... More

The views are beautiful here and the palm trees add a tropical feeling. My family and I were visiting the area and came across Crandon park and decided to spend part of the day here. Once on the beach we noticed the area had cigarette butts everywhere. The water itself looks beautiful but once we got in the water there... More

We spent most of our time here - more than on Miami Beach. Sandbars make for very calm and clear water. It is beautiful! Pay the toll and park entrance fee and spend your beach time here!

Large Beachfront park with facilities for kayaking kite boarding and for family get together. The water is FULL of seaweed due to the prevailing winds, however there are shallow sandbars off shore that are clean and safe for even kids to play in.

The beach is quiet, with public bathrooms, and with lifeguards. Lots of palm trees. They have Family Amusement Center, children's slides, inline skating, sunbathing, nature center, cyclists, Parking $5. municipal lots. Lots of birds and iguanas.
