I'm only rating this average even though: Pro: beautiful beach. Lots of parking ($6 entry fee), clean and plentiful amenities such as picnic tables, bathroom, volleyball, and snack stand). The beach is beautiful. Con: seaweed and bugs. Bring spray bring swimming shoes.

Essentially free county park at north end of Key Biscayne near Rickenbacker Causeway. Easy trip from Miami (beware - now SunPass only to get over bridge as of 9/23/14). Lots of parking, beautiful beaches and vistas, kayak launching, nice facilities, roaming peacocks. Relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

We went on a Saturday and thought it would be crowded. It wasn't. So relaxing laying under the palm trees. Worth the $6 nice to get out of the craziness of Miami beach. Such a beautiful beach

As previous reviewers noted, Crandon and Key Biscayne, on the aggregate, aren't as desolate as they had been in years past. Such is the product of the primordial hourglass - not much to complain about or indict. That being said, mid-week days are ideal for those content with bayside rhapsody. The tides are all but benign, with a number of... More

Located on a small island (Key Biscayne) just across from downtown Miami. There is a $1.75 toll fee to drive across. Park also has a $5 admission fee, which was disappointing because where I come from public parks are free. I am a zoo fan and went to see and photograph what remains of the old zoo (now closed). There... More

The beach was not over crowded. The sand is white and the water clear. It was very clean. The restroom was also clean. We enjoyed a quiet afternoon on the beach.

I read about this beach in a "cheap things to do in Miami" article, and despite being one of the cheapest things we did on our honeymoon, it was one of our favorites. One thing to mention is that it's very buggy. The beach itself not so much, but you have to walk through a grassy park to get to... More

This beach is beautiful and has picnic tables and grills that make it a good spot for a large group to meet up. It's a nice change of pace from Miami beach and only cost $6 to park on the weekends. This beach is also more family friendly than South Beach as you'll be less likely to run into as... More

Visited there today and found the beach noisy. If you love feeding the seagulls you will haters everywhere you look and scream at you move on!!! The shoreline is still filled with seaweed and now it costs $6 to park in the lot. You can rent gazebos, beach chairs, and umbrellas. You can still find a shady spot FOR FREE... More

It's a nice place and it is not noisy like Miami Beach. Picnic tables have been added and some structures like public bathrooms have been painted and renovated but the place needs much more renovation of the natural areas. More trees need to be planted and they need to clean much more the place. The sidewalks, roads need to be... More
