I was very pleased with a visit here with my ten and eight year old daughters. It was a family vibe. The water was so warm and it was great to lay in the shade of a palm tree. There was a lot of seaweed. That was the only negative thing I can think of.

Not very well maintained. With so many nice beaches so close, not a very good choice. Many beaches on Virginia key and Bill Bags so close, we ended up moving to Bill Bags, which the kids enjoyed more. Brandon beach smelled of sewage and had a very uneven bottom in the ocean. There were a ton of pits the kids... More

We visited this location once before earlier this year and were disappointed the lighthouse was closed to refurbishment, so we went back to visit this time around on our visit to Miami. We went specifically for the lighthouse and at $8 per car, it was a deal. The lighthouse itself is closed so you don’t get to go up and... More

The day we were there there was a bad odor in the water along the beach. Everything else was fine. There is a a picnic area complete with grills and restrooms and the day use/parking fee is only five dollars. The odor problem was spotty as if there was some sort of alge or sewer problem that washed in and... More

I have mixed feelings about this location. I was here last winter and loved the beach, it was empty and the water was nice. However, when I came back with my family this August, we found a dirty beach, the water was brown and had a lot of seaweed. However, we went down the beach to an area away from... More

We stayed 5 minutes. Too bad, it is lovely to see but the beach smelled and there was a tonne of seaweed. And to top it off, we went to miami seaquarium down the road and it was absolutely terrible. We stayed two hours only because my son enjoyed the bouncy castles. Way overpriced and outdated. Two big thumbs down.

Great beach (especially if you're staying in the Brickell area). Crandon park beach south is much more "beachy" - north is a lot more shallow/less enjoyable (in my opinion).

I've come to Crandon Park before with my sister to spend a normal day on the beach. Pay to park and you have your own private beach and picnic/grilling areas you can reserve in advance. It's nice for that more relaxing beach time compared to the packed and lively Miami Beach. Boyfriend and I came on 4th of July because... More

Crandon Park beach is extremely nice--clean and not crowded during the week. Of course, most beaches are crowded in Miami on the weekends. The beaches are very easy to get to and very relaxing. If you want time out in the sun and water (even w/some decent snorkeling), Crandon Park beach is it.
