This is the quintessential Caribbean style beach, beautiful palms along the shore line! The absence of Sky-scrapers that are on South Beach, the long gradual beach that culminates with beautiful blue waters. It was very, very nice... Wish I had gone to Crandon Beach before South Beach. Would not have left that area to look for another spot.

Lovely palm trees lined beach with very cool watchtowers ! Kinda dreamy! Great for long walks or to lie down on the sand or do some windsurfing / kiteboarding/ paddle boating. The bridge connecting this key is beautiful drive. Must do in Miami, so much better than other Miami beaches.

Fabulous beach. We went early in the day and it was almost as if we were alone on the beach. The Palm trees provided awesome shade on the beach with a beautiful view. The water was warm and clear. The parking lot was large and the entry fee reasonable ($7 on the weekends). I'd go back here over and over... More

We just had a perfect beach day. 2 chairs & umbrella for $25 is ok. Parking is $5 weekday and $7 weekends. You find a great playground as well. Perfect water conditions, palm trees for shadow, a lot of birds (e.g. peacooks!!) and white sand. Our boy and we just loved it

Lovely clean beach great for bathing, running, sand bars. Bring your own snacks and drinks and stay the whole day until sundown!

This was really a surprise. We were staying in hotel near Miami airport and had had a very busy few days in South Beach, Sun Life Stadium to watch Clemson WIN, and downtown for the NYE Pitbull Celebration after the game. SO we honestly were looking for a peaceful New Years Day at the beach. We arrived before/around noon. Plenty... More

We are beach snobs - although we are from Brooklyn we love secluded beaches and were bummed with the ft Lauderdale beach by or hotel. After some research we found this gem. Palm trees right by the water so you don't need to bring umbrellas to stay in the shade. Few people so you can spread out. Huge parking lot... More

This beach is rated in the top 10 for the U.S. While I haven't been to all the beaches in this country I can say this one is very nice. It is $7 to get in but there are facilities, water activity rentals and restaurants close. If you want a beach that is family friendly in Miami this is the... More
