Loved it here, stumbled upon it. Lovely beach with loungers and parasols, BBQ areas and sports facilities. Huge car park and only 5$ entry for the car. Really enjoyed my day.

I visited Miami in January, 2015, and spent a day walking Crandon State Park and Virginia Key to see a little Miami nature and take sunset pics. Here are my thoughts: PROs: -Close to downtown Miami - 20 minutes or so by car (with minimal traffic). - Easy to access by car or public transportation. I took the metro people... More

The beach was OK, but the working attitude of the staff members need a big improvement. We went there during Christmas. We paid our admission and got in (otherwise, how can we got in?), but never got the parking stick. When I went to the office to explain the situation, a guy with uniform said it was not his fault.... Visited several years ago, and at the time, we were one of 5 cars in the lot. This time, the lot and the beach was much more crowded. Having said that, we still had a great time. Beach had loads of space to enjoy, and water to play in. This is an added plus of being a photographers paradise with... More

Crandon Park Beach is on Key Biscayne, a very nice beach and a picnic ground for those that favor family beaches instead of the "loud beachgoers" on cramped South Beach. The beach itself is just as good, the water is cleaner and the parking is a whole lot cheaper, $5 flat rate on weekdays instead of up $10/h at the... More

Not that the trees have grown back in (Hurricane Andrew wiped it clean) it's once again shaded and just plain lovely. The new(ish) restaurant is a nice addition. Great Lighthouse views.

Beautiful place to relax. Great beach and warm water. A solid fit for anyone who comes here. A great spot so close to the downtown area, but feels like you are very far away. I felt like I could spend all day here, however, there is too much to see and do. I would return here.

Extensive acreage offering recreational opportunities of all kinds. Walk, swim and sunbathe along the wide beach; bike, jog or rollerblade on the paved paths; wander through the gardens in the former zoo replete with peacocks, cranes, geese and iguanas; bring your kids to the playground that includes a carousel and roller rink; or follow sandy paths on the north end... This is an excellent beach with lots of space and calm waters that you can swim or just sit and have a great conversation with friends. Not good if you're interested in waves or rowdy loud music. It's just right to chill and relax.
