Uh oh

Always a good time at this beach. Family friendly. Less action / crowds than Miami Beach. Quieter I suppose. Each time I visit in recent years, this beach continues to erode. A... read more

We travel with our two kids, and we were looking for a quiet beach to spend the day, what I can said we found the place, quiet, calm waters and clean, lifeguards were on duty all the time, a lot of parking, we enjoy Crandon Park Beach.

Its a nice beach with plenty of parking, however it is NOT one of the better beaches S Florida has to offer...IF the mosquito's don't kill you.... and you survive the seaweed will molest in places you wish it hadn't. So overall i recommend this beach for teenagers local to the island aka Key Rates( we cant find you'all in... More

Always a good time at this beach. Family friendly. Less action / crowds than Miami Beach. Quieter I suppose. Each time I visit in recent years, this beach continues to erode. A great beach but high tide isn't as much fun depending on where you like to lay claim to a stretch of sand from Crandon Park all the way... More

this is a island that is often overlooked, both by visitors and locals. im lucky enough to be able to visit by water on a boat but if you dont own a boat or kayak in miami. you can enjoy these beaches from shore. they are far less crouded than miami bch,i would dare to say less expensive to park your... When I visited it was a nice family atmosphere and it was very clean. There where palm trees scattered around so you could lounge under one of them and just relax

Very disorganized operation. Staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. I was informed the day before my 25 person BBQ that i would have to move to the shelter the furthest away from where i needed when i asked why they told me it was double booked and then preceded to hound me for a justification as to why i needed the... I was amazed how much parking there is for this large beach area but it's needed because the location is very popular. It is a very pretty white sand beach and the water is nice. Chair and umbrella rentals are available but bring a cooler with snacks and drinks because you may have a long walk to concessions. I think... More

You are just across the Causeway from Miami and the large park (soccer fields etc) but you really get the feel that you are away from it all on the beach. Very quiet - the lifeguard stands are pretty cool and lots of coconut palms. The beach isn't particularly wide, but that makes it easier to sit under the palm... More

Not much of a beach. Most of the beach area is fenced off. The views and parking is great. The grass area is good for picnic.

We rented paddle boards here, despite the heat and horrible smell on the beach. The strong current and winds kept blowing us onto the sand bar, but we got a decent workout.
