We finished our first tour of Amelia Island and instantly signed up for a second one. The beach tour was fantastic and a great way to get a different perspective of the island.

My girl friend and I had never been on a Segway™ before so when we visited the island we thought we’d try them out. After a short instructional video, we were paired with a staff member who led us through an exciting jungle trail tour that climaxed in a couple of beach stops. Be sure to take your camera (or... We (four of us) had a nice getaway adventure on Friday, 2 January 2015. We did the Beach Tour. Nine total were in the tour group all together plus two guides. About a half-hour of preps (12-minute safety video, signing of waivers plus practice sessions in the parking lot). Tour itself was an hour. Since the group decided to forego... More

Most Segway tours have age restrictions and our son (now 10) was always too young. Here, the minimum age is 8, so this was great that we could ride Segways as a family. We went on the 10 am tour on Christmas day. You watch a brief introductory video then they show you the basic controls and everyone practices stopping... More

We chose the beach dune tour, and loved it. While intended to be a smaller group than the roadway tour, both times it was just my husband and I along with a guide. The first day we traveled south as is more the norm, and got to see things like the giant turtle nests, as well as just have fun... More

So glad I found this tour on TripAdvisor! My husband and I love Segway tours, and this was about the 4th we've done. We booked the 8 AM Seabreeze Tour on the beach, which used the heavy-duty segways. We were very happy to find we were the only ones on the tour, and Crandall was a great guide, pointing out... More

The most fun we had on dry land all week! Based out of Amelia's Wheels on the Omni Plantation, our first tour was the family tour with Josh & Marilu early in the week and it was fabulous! We were the only people on the tour and even our 8 yr old mastered the Segway in minutes. You begin by... More

I took the 10 am tour with another large family. Josh and Alex were our guides. They were excellent at teaching us how to ride the segways. We practiced for about 10-15 minutes before we headed out on the tour. It was a lot of fun riding the Segways. It is something that everyone should try.

My husband and teenage son took the Segway tour at the Omni. We were pleasantly surprised to find we were the only three on the tour. After a short video we got on our segways and were off. Casey was our guide and was as sweet as could be. The property was beautiful! I would recommend this to anyone who... More
