Like many parks and nature centers in Florida, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary puts a premium on gently educating visitors. This rescue/rehab facility aims to return animals to the wild, but some are too domesticated, too damaged, or too dependent on humans to survive, and these are kept on-campus for display. From a small herpetarium and a wide array of birds to... More

This place has such an amazing rehabilitation facility for animals. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. It is amazing how close you can get. We love going over there to have a picnic and stroll around. They even have yoga that directly benefits the facility.

Busch Wildelife Sanctuary hosts virtualy every wild Floridian animal, bird and reptile. It's a free take for children and adults alike. I was amazed at how well the wildelife and the grounds are taken care of. Visitors will not leave disappointed.

Great place to take the kids! Lots to see. Very beautiful and animals are taken care extremely well. So much more they can do here to bring in money to keep this growing. Super impressed and I would like to be to see this place flourish.

David Hitzig has built this wonderful sanctuary for many kinds of animals. They have a hospital for injured animals to care for back to health. They never turn anyone away with an injured animal. Great place for kids and adults to visit to learn about animals.

This is a great spot for young ones to see animals close up. Best time to visit is early morning before it gets too hot . . . when it's hot, the animals seek refuge where it's cool and its often difficult to see

On a lark, my wife and I toured this little sanctuary, not expecting too much therefore we were not disappointed. They do a nice job with a limited budget and provide a needed service. It takes no time and it's worth a short trip to see.

I love this place. It is a rescue facility/wildlife/education park. It is not big, but that is part of the charm. This facility rescues injured animals, treats them and releases those that are able to survive in the wild. Those that sustain permanent injuries are kept and cared for. You can see panthers, bears, fox, deer, birds of prey and... More

Bring the kids and see herons, egrets, Ospreys , large vultures, and other colorful birds. You Aldo see small animals that are living in a very favorable climate. Good picture taking and convenient parking make this an enjoyable spot to visit.
