If only there were more places like this. Tucked away in a corner of a street largely reserved for commercial use , sits this wonderful hotel/hospital / sanctuary/ zoo for injured or disabled wild creatures. This is a great place to teach the children about compassion for all living things. Major applause to all that work there. Visit them, make... More

Great place to take kids. Like a small zoo where wild animals are being treated for different kinds of conditions. A lot of different animals and you can get fairly close. There's also a session where one of the staff will talk to the kids about the animals and you may even get to hold one! Fun afternoon. It's also... More

My husband and I live about 40 miles away from Jupiter. We planned to visit the lighthouse, but we came across this place on Trip Advisor. I love all things zoo/animals, so we stopped by on the way. This is a small rehab center for permanently injured or disabled animals that cannot be released back into the wild. It's primarily... More

My husband and I visited Busch Wildlife Sanctuary while driving up the coast from Miami. This is the perfect little break from driving while on a road trip. It only took 20-30 minutes to walk through, and probably could take longer but it started pouring rain halfway through out visit. I especially liked their boardwalk through a marshy wetland area:... I think that this rehab center is a great place if you have young children. It is not very large and they do have activities many afternoon for groups that you can join in while there. As others have mentioned, this is not a zoo, but a rehab center so the variety of animals is small. Thy do have information... More

We stopped here on a whim after reading the TA reviews and were not disappointed. Besides the animals and birds, the volunteers really make this Sanctuary come to life. They have so much patience with the young children and the place is clean and well cared for. Programs are schedule to teach about a specific specie. I would think this... More

This is a small "zoo" but a great place to take little ones. We have a 2 year old and 4 year old and take them here almost weekly to see the animals or for story time.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a gem. It may be a little tricky to find but well worth the visit. Seeing the animals is wonderful. Alligators, crocodiles, Florida panthers, bobcats and the list goes on. The wetland refuge was teaming with with turtles and herons. A wonderful day to spend time with family and learning about the animal world. Well worth... More

Just a nice place to take our grandsons and they learn about the animals and birds. The tortoise and turtle gallery is terrific and the birds were very showy.
