I have taken two one hour walks in this park, both on different trails and saw deer, beautiful trees, river, foliage and birds. We went early in the morning before it was hot and the birds were chirping. We noticed nice areas to picnic and a place to rent canoes. We also thought the next time we might bring our... More

This is the best park in the area and it's free. It is a great place for a bike ride or a long walk or run. There are many firm shell rock trails and it is easy to get turned around the first few times you visit without a map. They also have canoe and kayak rentals for going down... More

After reserving five kayaks for a river trip at this location we were super excited about getting a taste of the Florida waterways. Upon arrival we were met by the rudest man possible. He was rude to everyone he dealt with. He was very impatient and did not want to give us any service or information about the trip and... More

This beautiful park has something for everyone! There are trails for biking and hiking. Areas for horseback riding, canoeing/kayaking, spots to picnic and bird watch. It is very nice and shaded, keeping it from being so hot. There is also a historic battlefield there. The giant banyan trees are breathtaking. The park offers bike and canoe rentals. They even have... More

This park is extremely well maintained and has excellent signage. Trails are wide and in great shape! House trails are seperate from the others. Nice waterways for canoeing or kayaking. Great place for picnicking as there are lots of shared picnic pavilions scattered in the park. One of my favorites!

My husband and I went with our two young children and my parents. We rented two canoes and floated down the river. Almost immediately, we saw a six or seven foot alligator. It was frightening at first, but they just hangout there. We saw so many owls and birds even a momma gator and her babes. The trip was absolutely... More

My son and I spent several very happy hours walking the trails and taking photographs. This is a lovely park and very well maintained. The landscape is true Florida. The signage is excellent and needed because the trails are extensive. We will return.

This is a great place to load up the bikes and take the family. You may also rent canoes and row through the park. It is really a great place to get back to nature. Plenty of parking and kept very clean.
