Bicking , hiking , wildlife, no tikihut!

What a place to ride a bike!! All kinds of trails, history, wildlife. Old Florida before all the condos. If you want to hike fine but watch out for the bicycles.

I went back to Riverbend Park with a friend earlier this month and loved it. It really makes a difference when you go with another person. You are walking in the shade and I loved the landscape. This time I saw sandhill cranes, a peacock, cardinals, woodpeckers, wading birds and saw where the barred owls hang out. I didn't actually... More

My husband and I walk in Riverbend Park every week. It is hard to describe the serenity and beauty of this park. We always see some form of wildlife on our walks; deer, raccoons, owls, osprey, otters and if you look real hard, gators. The entrance to the park is free and it is open 7 days a week. There... This park, located at the headwaters of the south fork of the Loxahatchee River is a gem with kayak, bike and walking trails, picnic sites, a Seminole War battlefield and more. Minimally developed which is a plus. The 12+ miles of trails are well maintained and marked, going past picnic spots and beautiful small ponds. The river is fun to... More

First time, we went just for an afternoon renting 2 boats. It was such an adventure, seeing so much wildlife, alligators, turtles, birds and plants. We were paddling through little creeks as well as more open water, and we enjoyed it so much, that we came back for a day trip which was half in the park, and half outside... More

Wonderful display of Florida nature at its finest. Quiet, peaceful and educational. Canoe the Loxahatchee from this park.

Well worth the short drive from I-95 or the Florida Turnpike. See what Florida was like a 100 years ago. Beautiful bike and hiking trails. A nice creek to paddle up or down on, all the way to the Inter-coastal if you feel so inclined. The wildlife you should be able to see include deer and turkey and much more.

I love to come here early in the morning and rent bikes to explore the park before it gets too hot. It is inexpensive and their are many routes to choose from. I will say that my visit in June was not as enjoyable as my visit in December. December was much more lush and the wildlife was much more... More
