The Cypress Canopy run on the Loxahatchee River was exquisite. It feels like one is paddling through time to the Jurassic. It's shady and covered, so this paddle can be done even on hot days. There is one portage over a small dam, but it can be done in boat going N and carrying the boat going S. USE INSECT... More

Had a great time, just another wonder place to enjoy our beautiful Jupiter. The staff is wonderful, they help you, even with small children (the grandkids). Beautiful scenery and very calm waters.

We visited today for the first time and although the water level was a bit low it was still a great outing. You forget you are in busy Florida as it is a wild canopied river. We drove an hour there from ft Lauderdale and it was worth it. Very peaceful. We saw a lot of turtles, fish and birds.... More

Good location, pretty views, ignorant people. MOST OF THE STAFF IS A JOKE, make up there own rules about what is and isn't permitted on the river that is all interconnected . They try to tell people that dogs are not permitted anywhere on the river which they are ,just not in riverbed. JONATHAN DICKINSON IS A MUCH MORE ACCOMMODATING AND... More

We rented bikes and a double kayak on the same day. We started out on the bikes and took a scenic loop around the lake. The bikes are very basic cruisers but they added a basket for me and I was able to buy water in the shop. Most of the trail was in the shade under trees and very... More

Took my daughters canoeing. We rented 1 canoe for the three of us. Canoe Outfitters staff put the canoe in the water and got everything ready for us. We paddled down to the second dam (Masten Dam). That is such a spectacular and scenic trip. No wonder the Loxahatchee River is designated as a National Wild & Scenic River. Had... More

Kayaking down the Loxahatchee River is relaxing and beautiful. You feel you are in primeval Florida when, in fact, you are close to civilization. The cypress trees are majestic and you will often see hawks and falcons. There are turtles, raccoons, and alligators ... and beautiful large birds like herons and egrets. If it is a holiday weekend, be sure... More

Went to the Loxahatchee river to Kayak with our own kayaks. It was a holiday weekend so to be sure we knew there would be people. This business has a lock on rentals from the park and has for some time. I went in asking for some information, waited in line, got a person that makes grumpy old men look... More

This is a beautiful kayak trip on the Loxahatchee river. You paddle your way down the river and spot alligators sunning on the banks or in the water. Your heart will race being so close to these magnificent creatures. There is a dam crossing that when the water is high enough you can go over otherwise you get out and... More
