It was my first visit. Watching the volunteers care for and handle the various birds was amazing. I roamed around for just short of three hours asking a few questions of staff who were more than willing to answer them with genuine enthusiasm. I watched as a pelican was released and reacclimated itself to the gulf. I couldn't ask for... More

A good way to spend an hour or 2 at the beach. These folks do great work. Some of the birds are real characters. Be prepared for the bird cage smell.

Amazing work done here! It was a little "stinky" on May visit...not on December visit!

Interesting Place and I'm NOT a bird lover. Very nice to see them caring for the injured birds tho.

This is where they bring all injured seabirds to try and give them a second chance. They do excellent work and to visit is free, but they do request a donation if you can afford one. well worth it.

Great short quick free thing to see. Amazing to see all the birds close up. There's a small gift shop. Small on site hospital. Beautiful birds.

What a great bird sanctuary! They do so much good for birds from all over. The species vary, as they care for and then release if they can all the birds there. We saw lots of local birds that we saw at the beach (pelicans, egrets, etc), but also some birds I wouldn't have expected, like a horned owl, bluejays,... More

This is a wonderful place and is said to be the "largest nonprofit avian hospital and sanctuary in the U.S." Thank you to all of you who care for these sick and wounded birds. I hope your work continues to be funded allowing others to see how incredible our birds are, and to raise awareness of what we can do... More

Many species of sea birds and migratory birds to see. The staff are very friendly and point out many interesting facts about the birds. Admission by donations.
