Description: A segway tour with Zegway by the Bay is the best way to see Anna Maria...
A segway tour with Zegway by the Bay is the best way to see Anna Maria Island. As we embark on a guided segway tour of Anna Maria Island, we'll explore the hidden paths most would never know as you won't find them on a map. We'll share with you, as our guests the story of Anna Maria Island from Ponce de Leon, the Seminole Indians, George Emerson Bean, to "Island Stewards" of today. We promote all businesses as we roll along our Anna Maria pathways. We have the weekly updates for several events you may wish to attend. From bands like Koko Ray and the Soul Providers, playing regularly at local pubs and restaurants, to artists like Cheeta, who's art work is painted across the island. We'll share the stories and show the way to newcomers from Leffis Key to Bean Point.Your tour guides are Casey and Cathy. Both live and play on the island and love to share stories with their guests on the guided segway tours. Safety is always important. We do training prior to the tour so no worries and it won't cut into your tour time! We'll train you properly and make sure it is safe for all to roll prior to the tour. Our two guides alone have trained thousands of riders, so rest assured that even if you are riding a segway for the first time, allow these two ladies to train you and you'll be rolling on a segway effortlessly in a matter of minutes. Our full two hour tour is $65 per person, covering just under 8 miles round trip. We stroll along the entire north half of the island. Our one hour tour at just under 4 miles is $45 per person. We do accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard. Reservations are requested as we fill up quick. Please give us 24 hours notice if at all possible.REQUIREMENTS:14 years and up. We've trained up to age 95 years old on a segway. Want to know the story, just ask.100-300 pounds are our weight limits.Any rider under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We had never been on a segway before, but rest assured, they are easy to navigate. I highly recommend this activity at the beginning of the trip as our guide was very good at pointing out a number of attractions. We took the 2 hour tour and I am glad that we went for the longer one. We were having... More

Walt and I did a one-hour tour today with Cathy as our teacher and guide. It was great! She makes sure you're comfortable before you roll, and then she makes it all fun with walkie-talkie-delivered info about the island. We stopped at a couple of really lovely little beach-access spots and learned all about the nature preserves, restaurants and live-music... More

We were on Anna Maria Island for our son's wedding and decided to spend a week after the wedding as our extended family vacation. We did a one-hour Segway tour with Cathy as our guide. It was a blast! The tour provided a fun way to see and learn more about the island and it's history. Our only regret is... More

We did the 2-hour segway tour and loved every minute! First off, don't be intimidated by the segway - you will get the hang of it really fast! Our guide was awesome, she knew so many interesting facts and history about the area and she was super friendly. This was an awesome way to see the island! We really enjoyed... More

We had the best time. Couldn't have asked for a better guide, Casey is awesome ! I highly suggest this tour no matter how many times you've been here, it's something that should be on everyone's bucket list. Money well spent. We'll be back next year.

We had a blast with our "Segway Goddess" Cathy! Would definitely suggest the two hour tour. There is so much to see and the Segway is a great way to get around.

My fiancé and I had so much fun checking out the northern part of AMI with Casey via this tour. She was a fun guide who had a lot of great suggestions for places to check out while we were visiting and was very knowledgeable about the area's vegetation, wildlife, and local scene. Our group members had never been on... More

We did a fantastic 2 hour tour of the northern half of Anna Maria island. Casey was good at getting everyone comfortable with their Segway and great at showing us a great time. Really a must try for anyone spending a few days on the island!!!

Casey gives a great tour! It was just like skating or skiing. We had a fun & informative tour and highly recommend this means of seeing the sites behind the scenes.

I took my parents (ages 71 and 72) on a 2-hour tour of Anna Maria Island (AMI). Casey was our tour guide and she was fantastic. She ensured we were all comfortable on our Segway's before heading off since none of us had ever ridden before. There were walkie talkies on each machine so Casey was able to communicate with...
