This park is, in fact, split in two by Route A1A. On the west side of A1A, i.e., the Intracoastal Waterway side, there are five "pocket parks," as Broward County calls them. Each is identified by a different species of sea turtle (Loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley, Leatherback, Hawksbill, and Green) sign at the entrance to its parking area. These five pocket... More

Nice place for a picnic, to bike and walk around nature. Places to be and read a book under a tree (need the shade sometimes) and water places to visit.

Go in at the end of Sheridan St the line seems long but there are lots of spots even on the weekends. Nice shade, barbq's, walking paths and of course the beach. This end of the boardwalk is far from the resturants and action but it's perfect if your looking for a peaceful day on the prettiest, cleanest beach you... More

Overall nice beach, although very crowded with folks. Would walk away from the boardwalk to enjoy a bit more quite time at the beach side. Water were a bit choppy due to the weather.

For $8 you can park all day, leave and re-enter until 7:30 p.m. This lot is NEVER full. EVER. There are picnic tables and many shaded areas, showers, restrooms, steps to the beach. It's a bit of a stroll to the Broadwalk area, but if you bring your bike, no worries.

This is a large park that is very beautiful. There is abundant parking and trails that go through the sea grapes and around the sea oates. There are also many grills and picnic tables, so it is a great location for family gatherings.

The emerald-colored tide was heading out leaving behind a plethora of shells (and a few jellyfish!). A constant light breeze was kicking up some nice waves that kids of all ages were enjoying. The water, for this time of year (November), was amazingly warm. Some families were having great fun building sand castles. All was right with the world! The... More

A nice place for a picnic, restrooms available, tables, lot´s of shade, a small snack bar. Don´t expect much more than that.
