Natural Beauty Anne Kolb Nature Center

This is a great place for all but especially kids. They can explore the walking paths while looking at nature. It's a great place when the weather is not so hot.

We went for the 2 p.m. fish feeding on a Sunday. We watched how a Horseshoe Crab eats, he's only 4 years old, how they molt, yes they actually crawl out of their shell; I could go on and on but you really must visit and learn firsthand. We did turtle release program five years ago and reserved it a... More

Across the street from the main park is a very rustic trail. Walking on the trail takes one away from the sights and sounds of urban sprawl. It takes about an hour to walk the trail. Be sure to bring water. We freeze a bottle which melts about half way through the walk. Because it is a rustic trail, not... More

When you visit Hollywood Beach, just 30 seconds West of the Atlantic Ocean on Sheridan Street, you'll find the Anne Kolb Nature Center. Very educational for children and adults alike! The views are spectacular as you walk on the trail or climb to the top of the overlook! Imagine, two different eco-systems so close together! You will never have a... More

This is a nice nature reserve in the middle of busy South Florida. There are good views and hikes through the mangrove forest. If you go in the summer go early. It gets quite hot and steamy with little wind breaking through the forest. The park is free but the exhibit center is $2. I found the video about the... More

The most amazing creatures we saw was a big green iguana crossing the empty parking lot, followed by a colorful smaller one. The park is very nice and we went early enough to enjoy it before noon. The crabs we saw were hiding very fast, you had to wait quietly to make them come out of the wood. If we... More

An interesting place to explore. Brava to Anne Koln for preserving this unique area....climb high to the tower to give one and all a sense of the Florida waterways, flora and fauna.

There is not much here, a display of things in the water ways and the tower to climb but not much else. You can walk down the boardwalk but be aware of the bugs that bite.

Worth visiting while you are in town if you can appreciate nature. Peaceful and quiet in the middle of a city there are several platforms and you could go fishing or having a picnic while you are here.

my husband and I brought our 2 kids (6&2) here for an afternoon. We took the boat ride, did the nature walk and went to the museum. Great place for children!
