This nature center was my favorite places in Hollywood Florida to go for a walk and get peace away from the hustle bustle. The tower is really nice to get a view of the park and the surrounding area. You can either use the stairs or take the elevator.

This is a nice nature spot, if you like mangroves and walking, as it provides two long wood promenades above the water. Its not wide - good just for 2 people walking sholder-to-sholder. We spent 2 hours there to see all it can provide.

The Ann Kolb Nature Center is the "northern" part of West Lake Park. On the south side of Sheridan Street, you'll find West Lake Park where you can rent a canoe, play basketball, tennis, or volleyball, or have a picnic. North of Sheridan Street, you will find the Ann Kolb Nature Center Visitor Center, where you can pick up a... More

This is a lovely nature retreat hidden just of of busy Hollywood beach and A1A. There are great educational displays and a nice boardwalk through the mangroves and out to the intracoastal waterway. There is an observation tower from which you view the intracoastal and even the ocean in the distance. This is a hidden gem and a great place... More

The nature trails are not long, but are worth walking. The multi-story tower provides a good observation post to scan the lake, wetlands, and mangroves. Kayaking on the lake is easy as the water is generally placid.

Wonderful walk, it truly peaceful out here, great time to walk around and enjoy all the different tree, animal and fresh air. Taking the elevator to the top of the tower was excellent or you can climb the stair if you like the view is peaceful and breathtaking. The different trail was very fascinating. No charge to walk the trail,... More

This was an enjoyable excursion when we needed a break from the beach. An easy walk around provided lovely views and the visitor center was just large enough for a fun visit.

We kayaked in mangrove trails and had a great time. The only problem is when you cross the lake the trails on the other side are not marked very well so you can get lost. The trails all look the same but are dead ends. It was like we paid for a maze which wasn't all that bad because we... More

We went in January, and it was chilly but sunny. It was a wonderful science lesson in mangrove habitats that was presented in the Exhibit hall. It was roughly $2.00 (USD) for each person to go through the Exhibit Hall. Well worth it. The walk was wonderful. I have to say how great that the observation tower has an elevator,... More
