Place has some decent art for being affiliated with a university. It's maybe on par with other art museums from universities I've seen, but it's interesting to gander through on a day when you just want to get out and do something. We wandered in after going to the Natural History Museum next door.

Great atmosphere. Great art. And best of all.... Free! Where else can you go and see a real Monet for free? Right next door to the natural history museum which is also free. These two places are a must do when in Gainesville!

Amazing museum for such a small community. Some very famous pieces, Miro, Picasso, etc. Beautiful architecture with Zen garden and outside areas. Directly next to natural history museum which is also free.

Living in Gainesville, we forget we have such a wonderful museum. The building is beautiful and spacious. The docents were very knowledgeable and helpful and the young woman that greeted us was especially enthusiastic about the museum and the different collections. We have a Monet - DO NOT MISS IT. Three of the exhibitions were "on loan" and they were... More

The Harn Museum has exhibitions from Asia, Africa, and modern American, European, and Latin American art. The Asian Art Wing has different galleries: Ceramics; Religion: Sculpture in the Round; Jades; Korean Art; and, Wit and Wonder of Kogo Incense Boxes. The Jade exhibit was breathtaking! The highlight of my visit was Claude Monet's Champ d'avoine (Oat Field). A wonderful time... More

The Harn is amazing. I like the fact you get a little bit of everything. Painting, sculpture, garden art, photography, ancient artifacts. Very well-encompassed and very informative. Could have spent all day in there. Love the little guides they put in the Asian art area. Highly recommended. A unique cultural jewel in North Florida.

They had an awesome modern day photo collection of China and their Asian art collection is awesome. My friends remarked that they could spend all day here and not cover it all. Best of all, it was weekend and the parking was free and admission free.

fascinating works of art that are always changing. Just as interesting as museums 3 times it's size! The local art exhibits and items for sale from local artists in the store are always interesting, different, and reasonably priced Never get tired of the place!

Quiet and spacious. parts felt a little bare. some good pieces of art e.g. blanket made of bottle caps, but lacked cohesion in display so left wondering what the theme of gallery was. good cafe with excellent florida orange cake :)
