The University of Florida is still one of the premier Universities of Florida and the south It has incredible history and a diverse architectural background Very easy to navigate as long as you stay away from Museum road where the speed limit is 20mph and strictly enforced Easy to avoid and go on other roads

I attended Preview, a two day mandatory orientation at UF, with my freshman student. It was well organized. The facilitators kept the tempo moving through an enormous amount of information. There are options for tours and excursions that I did not choose (we toured twice 20 months previous: once with a seasoned senior to get the unbiased student view and... More

The campus of the University of Florida is very enjoyable. The campus has many draws including historic school buildings, chapel, and bat houses. Despite the significant tree cover the campus can be very hot during the summer so be prepared for that. There is also a premium on parking that might be hard to find during the regular school season.... More

As a student from an university in Denmark it was a really great experience to see an American university. They use the football stadium for workouts when the Gators don't play - it's open for you to run up and down the huge stadium. To walk around campus was a real treat with low trees and beautiful buildings.

This was mine and my husband's first true visit to the campus (other than a quick drive through on the way to/from somewhere else). He is an online master's degree student who wanted to tour campus. We were not disappointed. I work at a major university in Texas, and I truly enjoyed the experience. The bat house is a must... More

A place that not only offers a great campus for students but also for visitors that comes to Gainesville and wants to know a little history of Florida with their beautiful architectures buildings all... It was great driving through campus at this time of year because the university is only partly full.

What can one say about a university with nearly 50,000 students. except to point out that it is very large. Very, very large. Perhaps that is good, but UF seems to be focussed mainly on sports. They must do some research around here, but no one ever talks about anything but "Gator Sports".

If your in the area a have a little time, walk across campus. It is large with many trees and places to seat and relax. You have Lake Alice and a couple of small man made ponds. There is old style architecture, along with older buildings with history. You have the Stadium, and may statues to see. This is just... More
