It was a perfect winter Florida day, the sun was brightly shining and the temps were in the 60s. The layout of the garden and the paved trails are so easy to follow and take you past everything on the map. It isn't the best time of year for Fl gardens but you can just imagine how GORGEOUS they would... More

A peaceful, wonderful Florida garden full of all things botanical that grow in North Florida. From the large camellia gardens, herb and medicinal garden and giant lily pads floating in Lake Kanapaha, it is truly a treat to behold. The gift shop is fab with all manner of items for gifts or yourself. Can take a picnic and eat under... More

Attended a recent family wedding at the Gardens. Enjoyed a brief visit to during the ceremony - very quiet and peaceful. Lovely spot for a wedding under a great cypress oak overlooking the marsh.

Garden is close to Hwy75.....it is a large garden with lots of walking and lots of different themed gardens. Interesting for overseas visitors and locals. You need at least 3 hours but if time permits spend 5 or 6 hours to fully appreciate. Take ample fluids during the warmer months as it can get very hot in the unshaded areas.

Our family is new to the Gainesville area, and while my Wife was handling the paper work for our new home me and my little one decided to visit one of GNV's treasures, the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. We had a great time exploring and seeing all the sights, our favorites were the childrens garden, and the Bamboo garden. ♡ FYI,... More

This is not the biggest "tourism garden," but it was a nice representation of what we grow in Florida. Easy pathways and a detailed map make finding each section a breeze. I don't know if I'd make this a full-fledged destination, but next time we're driving by we'll probably take an hour or two to walk through.

Arriving at this botanical garden, they give you a map to show the sections of the park. I knew that I wanted to see everything. There was something special about each nook, and many chances to take photos. The air smelled great since it was just after a light rain. This is such a peaceful place for anyone of any... More

A great way to spend a few hours. We strolled the gardens. Easy to follow paths, so if you forget to pick up the map at the ticket counter, no worries. The Children's garden is especially funny. There are signs to BEWARE of snakes, and another couple there said in fact they did see (venomous) 2 snakes.

We were told about the Bontical Gardens by the staff at our hotel. We were looking for something to do to pass time in between Dr's appt for our son who goes to Shands. We all loved it we were in disbelief at all the beauty. There were so many new plants we had never seen that we got to... More

Serenity. Nature. Wonderful employees. The banquet and meeting room was wonderful! I highly recommend this for groups of 20-100.
