We went during the offseason, so there wasnt much to see. We need to go back during the warmer weather when it is in full bloom More

I visited on a weekday, so very few people were there. There are plenty of shady areas where you can enjoy a cool breeze and a respite from the Florida heat. Areas are grouped by garden purpose (attract butterflies, shade, herbs, etc.) I've also been to events here, such as a Beerfest and the Spring Plant Sale--it's a nice location... More

I've been going to the botanical gardens since I was young. It is wonderful every time! They have a marvelous bamboo forest and more herbs than you can imagine! Although it is very pricey if it is in your budget get a family pass and come out and visit! More

In early April when I visited, the gardens are not at their best, as they are just coming out of the cold (for Florida) winter season, but they are superb nonetheless. They have one of the largest selections of bamboo in the USA which are always spectacular, lots of camelias, azelias, sagos, etc., as well as greenhouses for the more... More

We arrived hoping for a quiet weekend afternoon strolling among the flora, only to find that the Gardens were hosting a craft beer festival. The picnic area was packed with vendors and people understandably getting a bit loud and having fun... but the property is big enough so that once we started walking the trail that meanders a total of... We attended the spring fling festival and had a wonderful time amongst the gardens with all the plants and vendors selling their items. The crowds were there early trying to get the first picks of the items being sold. We toured the gardens but probably best to tour the gardens when there is no festival with so many people present.... More

When I entered the visitor's center (Summer House) I went over to the cashier station. The person working at the desk barely made eye contact with me and didn't mention the maps of the botanical garden that were sitting there. It was interesting to walk around the park like setting but you should wait for the summer months to visit... More
