A very beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Incredible variety of plants to look at, and lovely place to just walk around. Watch for their Spring Garden Festival, when you can buy almost anything you can imagine for your yard and plants--pots, hangers, different varieties of blooming and flowering plants, herbs, equipment, and nearly everything you need to keep your... This botanical gardens wasn't what I expected. I was comparing it to Missouri Botanical Gardens, which is extremely beautiful. I felt like walking through the Kanapaha Gardens was walking through a jungle/swamp. There weren't many roses in the rose garden and no butterflies. It didn't seem to be kept up very well either. The bamboo and a few of the... More

My wife brought me here years ago as a surprise date and I immediately fell in love! I really do love this place. It is a LONG walk, so wear some good shoes. The walk is totally worth it though. Also consider bug spray(depending on the season), sunscreen if you have sensitive skin and water. It can get hot and... More

This is not something you'll walk through quickly. You can easily waste away an entire day here as we did. There is a lot to see so be sure to bring a camera. I'm very into photography and could probably waste away days here during blooming season. This place is beautiful and very well maintained and manicured. You'll forget within... More

Beautiful and mostly shady. These gardens are set up perfectly and so enjoyable to walk. They are amazing. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was hot but not unbearable. Worth a visit.

There's just about every specie of plant, flower, bird, butterfly and flower in here. Plan for a couple of hours and take your time to see all the intricate projects along the walkways. There's so many types of bamboo, lilies, ferns, blooming plants and trees that is hard to see it all in one day. Bring your camera to catch... More

This place is a must if you are in the area, we were unable to view the entire gardens due to rain on the day we went, yes the place is huge so plan on spending at least half a day here to really enjoy your visit. The main building could use a good cleaning of webs from the joists/ceiling... More
