A nice little cluster of hotels and condos just over the brook's bridge from Fort Walton. Great beach, and several others to the east toward Destin. Gulfarium has been refreshed and is fun for all kids and most adults...they have several levels of interaction with the animals (Discover/Encounter/VIP and such) but you really need reservations. Limited dining options in the... More

Kind of full but the all you can eat schrimp for under 10 bucks was worth it. Wife had the mahi mahi which was also good. You can watch other play volley ball on the beach and see the sunset too.

It was a great to be able to eat there and watch dolphins play at the beach. The seafood at the restaraunt, The Crab Shack was so good we had to take some home. Go there. You will enjoy it!

Close to all the Destin fun, without the crowds. You can go to the crowded stores and eating places if you like, or stay ni Ft. Walton and have a nice relaxing time.

Loved our stay at OI. Very quiet and relaxing. The beach was clean and the guy who worked the chairs was very nice and helpful. Was able to run on the beach and was very comfortable.

Wonderful, spacious beach with soft sand - outside the Ramada is beautiful and the boardwalk is great..

We stayed at Gulf Dunes. It's an older condo with a tiny pool but our three bedroom condo was great. The beach was not very crowded, considering it was June that was surprising. But Okaloosa Island is a litle bit out of the way for the regular beach goers so that helps. Those who like all the mini golf, bumper... More

It's getting more crowded but the soft, white sand and clear, warm, gentle waves are still unbeatable. We went back after 20 years and had a great week.

If you're looking for glitz and glamour, Okaloosa may not be for you. The island's inland is not the prettiest place in the area. But, the beaches are wonderful! Stayed in a 6th floor condo (Okaloosa has a limit of 6 stories for condos), perfect height, great view but still close enough to hear the waves. The beach is not... More

Stayed at Brooks and Shorey Pelican Isle condo. Beaches were clean and not overcrowded which made swimming and sunning enjoyable. Pristine white sand and long sand bar made it perfect for kids to play without having to worry about ocean under-tows. Perfect place for a beach vacation!
