Okaloosa is great if you are looking for beaches that are not so crowded and a little more low-key than those found in the Destin area. Everything was within 15 minutes of our condo on Okaloosa Island, which suited us just fine. We had a terrific time. The Emerald Coast is beautiful.

Beautiful ocean views, restaurants, condos, stores, and other things. We stayed at The Palms- room 601, highly recommend staying there.

You cannot find a better feeling sand anywhere. The beaches are clean and safe. Lifeguards patrol the waters and the gulf is extremely fun to play in.

Beautiful powder white sand, emerald blue waters. We saw dolphins around the pier, and fish jumping out of the waves right beside us while swimming. The area is away from the hussle and bussle.

Great, clear water. We stayed at Waterscape and you could walk really far out into the water and there is a little sandbar out there where the water is only a couple feet deep, so it was really cool. Sand is so white, I agree with other comments, it looked like snow. The pier and boaralk are pretty nice. Few... More

Fantastic beach. The sand is so white, our 2 year old thought it was snow, and kept singing "Jingle Bells". We will definitely be making this a regular vacation destination.

With beautiful, long white sand beaches on Florida's Emerald Coast, Okaloosoosa Island is just that, a sand island between Destin to the east and Ft.Walton Beach to the west. My wife and I have been visiting here on many day trips--in all seasons-- ever since we retired nearby. Usually excellent saltwater fishing, by boat, from long pier or off beaches.... More
