Family visited here on a rainy day while staying at Seaside for the week. Do not let the outside of the building deter you from visiting. The staff was very welcoming and exhibits are fun for young kids. (Our group consisted of 5, 4, 2 and a baby.) A remote controlled kid sized robot is located in the lobby and... More

Lots of exciting things happening at the Science Center! They are growing and settling into their new location. Staff is friendly and helpful and we love that we can take our membership to other reciprocal museums around the country!

My husband and I were looking for a place to take our children on this mostly cloudy day. Not only was it awesome, it was free with my museum membership with the science academy. It's fairly small and we were the only ones in the facility at the time. My kids found the experience to be a learning one. They... More

Took kids to Fort Walton for Spring Break. Besides enjoying the beach, we explored the city and ended up at the Science Center. It was was a learning experience. The kids (5 & 7) enjoyed the center very much. They were having fun and didn't even realize they were learning. I personally enjoyed the interactive setup especially the brain games!

My kids love to travel. It’s a good thing, because my wife and I have the travel bug and love new experiences. My girls also like new learning experiences and we try to include at least one on every travel adventure. This desire to combine travel and education led us to visit the Emerald Coast Science Center in Fort Walton... More

My daughter and I visited during during "Heart Day" and had a great time with the activities and exploring the exhibits. I came back the other day to check out the new robotics exhibit. It's almost finished being installed and I got a chance to talk to the engineer who designed it. My favorite exibit was the magnet wheel in... More

We visited with 3 grandchildren, aged 5, 7 and 9. Their parents came along too. Not a big place, it is housed in a one storey former elementary school in a residential area. Displays and exhibits are located in former classrooms, cafeteria and gym spaces. We began in a classroom sized area devoted to natural sciences of northwestern Florida -... More

I had bought a Groupon family year pass for something to do with our kids (5,7,11). I bought it for the same price as a one day family pass. We decided to drive there, we followed the city signs to the building only to learn it had moved. Groupon had the right address, we just followed the city signs and... More

Thank you for your review. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. You are correct in the "under construction" look. The robotics exhibits are currently being installed by the manufacturer. We allowed people into the room to have a preview of things to come. We have a total of nine when everything is finished. We moved into this location... More

I hate to not give a stellar rating to a place that's trying so hard to be great, but for 2 adults and 2 children, I paid $27 for about 45 minutes of trying real hard to enjoy it. A 5 and 7 year old really are too young to enjoy it and the adults are just there for them.... More

Thanks for your review. You visited us about 2 weeks after we had moved into this location. At that point, we were happy to just have everything under one roof. It has been almost 4 months and the dust hasn't settled yet. We have a brand new robotics exhibit under installation now (it was supposed to be in when we... More
