The Emerald Coast Science Center (ECSC) is a nice place for young children to visit. In the current building the place is a bit run down. The building is owned by the city of Fort Walton Beach and very little upkeep has been done. Admission price is still low, compared to other attractions in the area. If you are a... More

The exhibits were a bit dated but they all worked. Keep in mind that this is a smaller local facility. As long as you are mindful of this, you won't be disappointed. The kids seemed to enjoy it just fine and there was a public park just next to the building that extended our fun.

My grandsons loved it. They are 3 years old but still found plenty to keep their interest. Of course their dad is a science teacher so he made every room into a classroom.

I guess i should have known you get what you pay for but i was disappointed in this place. The price was cheap so i wanted to give it a try but when we walked in the door i knew it wasnt what i was hoping it would be. Let me just say the place is in need of some... More

We went her on one of last days of the trip. We could have saved a little money if we would have remembered that its 2 for 1 on Sundays. There is also a coupon in one of the visitiors magazines you get on the brocure racks.

My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed this place! It's a small, somewhat run down place but it made no difference to her! I would say we spent about 1 hour there. Cheap activity that is out of the heat!

Sadly this Science Center is in dire need of work. Like many, they probably rely on donations so they need help by the look of it. Many of the items weren't working or not in service. It was affordable, but honestly probably still not worth what was paid.

Our final day in FWB was rainy, so we thought we'd take the boys (ages 5 and almost 3) to check out the Science Museum. Several of the exhibits were not functioning properly (or at all). Overall, the museum seemed kind of dingy & dirty, and in dire need of updating. It's not very big, so it doesn't take very... More

We took our 3 children (ages 12, 10, and 8) and they really enjoyed it! The price was very reasonable for admission and gift shop items. There were plenty of hand on things for them to investigate. It is not large, but there are several rooms to walk through- including a bubble room and one investigating the human body. It... More

Took our kids aged 17, 12 and. 6. They loved all of the activities and science exhibits! They're favorite was the bubble room. It is a bit old and run down but for the low entry fee, you can complain. Kids of all ages will love this place!
