While smaller than many of the science museums we've visited around the state (thanks to the reciprocal membership benefits of ASTC museums), this one was fun for my 4 and 10 year old. The best part were the robotic arms that could be controlled to pick up and move balls and blocks. There were several. Besides that, there were numerous... More

The kids seemed to enjoy it. There was lots to do but most the stuff wasn't working right or at all. Kids enjoyed the ball bounce, bubbles, and building area the most. I thought the invisible piano was really cool. Kids enjoyed the robot hands and picking different objects up with them. It would've been a lot better if everything... More

Wow, what a good place to visit. I had 5 children with me ages 7,11,11,14,14. We had a great time. All the displays worked and were interesting.Even the parrots were friendly.

This place was ok. We went there because it was raining. It's a place you go once and then don't feel the need to go again. If your kids are into science they would enjoy it.

We ended up taking our kids to the Science Center one rainy afternoon (there isn't much to do in the Destin area when it rains) and it was a good way to keep them occupied for a couple of hours. The price is reasonable, but the place is pretty old and run-down. The kids don't seem to mind, and there... More

We took our kids here a couple of times. If you are in the area and you want to beat the son for an hour I would recommend you give this place a try. I recommend getting a discount somehow:)

I went when I was a kid when it was still "The Focus Center," and I am 30 now, but it was a spectacular place with tons of fun and educational discovery opportunities! I think every kid (no matter HOW young or old he/she is) would enjoy a day here.

Neat little hands on science center for kids. We took our 3 year old grandson last year and he thoroughly enjoyed doing the Hanson activities even if he didn't understand some of them

Our daughter is a college student now but she has many fond memories of the science center. With her much younger cousins in town, we made a return visit. They loved it. We stayed about an hour and that was just about perfect. The new location has a lot to offer. Our daughter really enjoyed seeing all of her old... More

This is the second year we have taken a break from the beach to visit the science center. My children, under age 7, love the exhibits. You have to be willing to read and explore the exhibits yourself and help your kids. My family loves the unique feel of this center (and reasonable price!). The staff is friendly and helpful....
