My family and I always stay near the pier so we can walk or fish on it. Don't pay to go on a Dolphin boat. We did that this year and hardly saw any dolphins. You see more dolphins on the pier than any long boat ride! My son was reeling in a small fish and 2 dolphins were chasing... More

I fish and enjoyed the time fishing. You can have lunch or dinner there too. I did not because I was trying to catch a big one.

Great place to look at the sea and observe both activities in the ocean and on the beach. Great variety of restaurants with great views of the ocean and the pier. Always lots of beach activities. A great outing for families, couples and singles. Worth the promenade!

The water is beautiful on the Emeral Coast. One great way to appreciate it is to go on the pier. As you walk down to the end, you can see how the color of the water changes from clear light blue to the beautiful emeral green. You share the space with local fishermen and seagulls. The mean who tends to... More

This is a pretty decent pier. It's only $2 to walk down it and the water is so clear you'll usually see a lot wildlife below. Last time I was there I saw the golden ray migration to Mexico, and several dolphins.

It's hard to imagine a more beautiful view than that from the pier at Okaloosa Island! Some of the reviews have complained about the $2 fee to walk out there. Really? It's well worth the couple bucks! The view is amazing-we saw dolphins, turtles, jellyfish, and all sorts of fish. The fishermen were extremely friendly and called us over to... More

Inexpensive and a good place for a walk. Fun to watch the fisherman when they've caught something on their line. Nice place to watch the sunset.

Loved watching the dolphins below, nice place to take a long walk and people-watch, too. Lots of fisherman getting fresh catch and taking photos, many locals as well as tourists.

We are used to California, where the piers are pedestrian friendly and no cost. However, it's a great way to see what the catch of the day is, and have close ups of herons which are numerous. Great views of our hotel from the end of the pier. We also saw dolphins surface from our vantage point.

The pier charges for people just to walk the pier, but for small price more you can also fish without buying a fishing license. They also have poles and bait for not much more either. Enjoyed seeing dolphins, turtles, fish, and even a rather large solo hammer head shark.
