Walking the pier is a beautiful experience. It's so peaceful and comforting! It's not rare to see dolphins out playing or the fishermen at the end of the pier making huge catches! When at the end of the pier you can see most of the island and it's a breathtaking view!

We walked out on the pier in January for the view and were not disappointed--the kids loved it--we've had drinks there to watch the sunset.

We took a walk down this pier and also spent a couple hours trying to catch fish. We didn't have any luck with the fishing but the view from the pier was pretty and it wasn't too cold or windy. If you are planning on coming here for a while, I'd suggest bringing some food/drink with you since there's only... More

The white sandy beaches in Ft. Walton play with the sunlight and cast so many different colors on the water. The water is some of the clearest I have ever seen and whether you are gazing off of the pier or walking underneath it, there is always something to catch your eye. It is also well maintained...just a pretty site... More

I'm a big fan of the Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier. The venue has is in fantastic location, and fishermen can enjoy the pier while other family members can enjoy the beach, or very good restaurants that are only a few feet away. There is a snack and bait shed on the pier, so you can get a drink or something... More

I'm on here to give y'all abit of info about the pier to help y'all out. First- it does cost 2$ to walk the pier. I've seen the guys be a bit rude but there are a lot of people that try to sneak by without paying. Second- If you are planning on fishing be prepared to pay 7-10$ for... More

It was worth the money to walk the pier, I mean 2 bucks.... We were there in January, so it was not busy and fish were not present, but it was worth it to see the view. Afterward, we had a drink at the attached restaurant overlooking the ocean.

If you want to fish you can rent poles, that makes it nice for someone like me that didn't travel with any. Admission is $2.00 for those to just walk on and do not fish. It was fun!
