We started at the western end near the state park. The first part of the trail was wide and well marked. As we traveled east the trail was compromised in surface, width and safety. We ride a tandem and thought the road at times was safer then the path. Too many new riders with little or no trail manners.

First of all, finding the trail is rather difficult. Few signs exist, so make sure you have a map or GPS. When we read the reviews about the trail we figured this would be a wonderful place to ride. We often travel to Europe to ride there for several days at a time. Unfortunately the Timpoochee Trail, at least the... More

My wife and I were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary. We had planned to rent bicycles on Wednesday but a cold snap in Mid November prevented us. The next day was ideal with temps in upper 60s. We started at mile marker 3 and went to mile marker 14, turned around and came back to mile marker 3 for a... More

First thing I need to say to TripAdvisor is they need to change the location of this attraction. It is NOT in Ft. Walton (A good 35 minute drive from Ft. Walton). It is even 12 miles past Destin. But because Destin is the closest and biggest town near it, I guess it could be considered an attraction in Destin.... More

Nothing could be more beautiful than riding along the coast in Florida's Panhandle, especially on a trail that allows you to avoid traffic. Timpoochee Trail winds through many small villages and past beaches and parks. Whether you are looking for a straight ride or a trail with places to stop in scenic communities and parks and beaches, Timpooshee has it... More

Wonderful bike trail with the most awesome scenic views. The trail is very long with lots of shops and restaurants along the way.

This is a beautiful arena and camp which nearly closed a few years ago due to lack of funds and maintenance. I am delighted that it was turned around and still exists at all.

If you're in the area between Panama City and Destin, rent a bicycle and spend a few hours or the day exploring the area on and near the “30-A Bike Path.” Also called the Timpoochee Trail, the 20-or-so-miles of paved bike/walking path parallels Scenic Highway 30-A. The bike path meanders through popular beach towns, staying on the beachside of the... More
