Friday Fest is a street party once a month downtown and is very family friendly with games for the kids. There is a band with dancing, loads of food options, many booths for arts and crafts, and a beautiful view of the water. And the best part of it, it is free.

This place is a show, we went to see the fireworks on 4th of July and hey had a whole fair with souvenirs, food, live music and lots and lots of things to do. This was a great part of our trip, lovely and full of colors!!

Very family friendly walking around kind of a place, we visited on a Saturday morning and there were tents of farmer market, food and goods to be bought. Nice area.

Not many of the original buildings are still there. Historic downtown is composed of buildings erected from 1894 to 1930, which is not that historic to Europeans.

Wow, the Farmer's Market in the marina area of Ft. Pierce is the best I've seen in years. We had not been here for quite a few years, but plan on making the trip to the market from our home in Stuart more often. It was just filled with so many sights and aromas and wonderful and unique crafts and... More

I love the town that I have selected as a second home. This is a throwback to old time Florida living in slow paced calm environment where people are friendly, low noise quotient, great beaches , good fishing and little if any traffic.

We always make Cobbs landing a must stop in the downtown area whenever we come down to Ft Pierce area. Cobbs has great ambiance and excellent food. I had salmon over pasta with pesto and goat cheese. Very very good.

The marina is right there so there is always something going on. Besides the farmers market there are other festivals at the park next door at different times of the year. good restaurants within walking distance (Tiki Bar, Cobbs landing, 121, Krazyfish, 2nd st. bistro)

Downtown Fort Pierce is a reminder to all who love Florida of what was, is, and can be. I like to say that in 10 years, you will not be able to touch any of the properties now available here. Currently, the big draw is the magnificently restored Sunrise Theater - a beautiful venue only lacking a visionary, creative management... More
