They have several camp sites and grills for RV's and tents for over night or longer stays. You can also take nice walks and see alligators, turtles and birds. Also can go canoeing and other small boats but no motors allowed. You can also go fishing in there.

This is the county run park - easily confused with the State Park by the same name. This park is free admission and $5 an hour for kayak rentals. Just tandem kayaks available when I visited and they aren't in great condition, but its a cheap way to enjoy the outdoors and see nature up close. There is both a... More

This was an introduction to the kind of habitat that we were to see a lot more of on our subsequent travels. The difference here was that it catered for a wide range of of interests - campers, family outdoor activities, etc. Lots of birds to see and things to do for young and old.

I went with a large group to this campground. First, they "lost" our reservation. We called to confirm a week prior, and they were reminded of our reservation and said they'd be ready for us. Friday night and the group site was not mowed. There was one fire pit and one picnic table on the site, not enough for a... More

I was told by numerous park rangers that tent camping is first come first server and they don't take advance payments or reservations. This is absurd. I called and they said "yeah we have 2 spots open at the moment". It took me a couple of hours to pack my truck , leave work early, get firewood and drive an... More

Really enjoyed visiting the Savannas Perserve. The staff was super friendly and informative. Love the bird watching and enjoyed taking pictures of sandhill cranes, egrets, moorhens and coots.....Hiking trails were a little muddy so check with the rangers before heading out..... Great spot.. Small donation..

This is our second time camping at Savannah's Rec campground. This is a county park and has all the features of a larger campground with out the price. They have full hook up sites, a laundry facility, great backcountry camping, a small walking trail with a lookout tower and a NEW DOG PARK! We couldn't be more excited about this... More

This RV site is phenomenal. Full hookups, and so much space around that you feel it's your own private oasis. I could put three rigs on my site! Ponds and lakes surround us, wildlife abounds, you are allowed fires, beach minutes away, lots of bike trails and walking trails. Nirvana, and all for $25 a night. Unbelievable, I almost don't...
