Was a very busy place on Sunday, but no mishaps happened.

I went there and it was covered up with very kind people and all sizes and shapes of dogs. most off leash. Mine were a 75 pound, 12 year old German Shepherd female, "Vinetta" and... read more

I don't know who has more fun here....the humans or the dogs!! This is an expanse of beach set well off the main road. The water is calm and shallow for lots of fun playing. Bring your own chairs, umbrellas and water plus don't forget water and a bowl for your dog! I suggest that you go early in the... More

I went there and it was covered up with very kind people and all sizes and shapes of dogs. most off leash. Mine were a 75 pound, 12 year old German Shepherd female, "Vinetta" and a 90 pound Belgian Malinois male. Mine have a high level of obedience competition training, and on leashes, so they were very obedient when the... More

We've actually been twice now when we've visited the area. The first time, we had the beach to ourselves, the second time there were a lot of people and dogs there. Most people were being courteous, only letting well-behave dogs off leash (apparently, there had been someone there early with a not-so-nice dog and someone almost got bit, but he... More

The Dog Beach in Fort Myers was a blast for our Goldendoodle, Lucy. She loved running free in and out of the water with the other dogs. She made doggie friends and we met many dog loving people. We were even able to rinse the sand off of her before she got back in the car.

Ok so you have read the reviews, so here is the straight "poop". Ok seriously, poop is an issue at this beach. There are actually people who do not pick up after their dogs here. My wife and I carried other people's dog poop with us to the parking lot. But......if you can get over the " poop " you... More

I took my Terrier and my 13 year old Chihuahua, both were able to navigate the waters with no problems as there isn't much of a current in the area. , parking is on sand on the side of the road so be sure to leash up until you get further towards the trail. Be prepared to wade, especially at... More

We were on vacation in Fort Myers Beach, without our dogs, but went here anyway mainly because the TripAdvisor reviews made it sound like a neat place to visit. It's a good time if you love dogs. Free admission. Free parking. It's not a manicured beach by any means. In fact, it is quite "rustic". There are no facilities and... More

You think you are in the wrong spot when you get there but continue around the bend to the right. Plenty of beach and shallow. Our pup was very happy he didn't have to wear his life vest. Only disappointment was that some dog owners are nasty and left behind waste, this WILL ruin these spaces for the rest of... More

not really a beach as much as a small sandy area and lots of space for dogs to swim. Don't plan on privacy on weekends or even a square foot of space to yourself.

This is an excellent area for dogs to enjoy the ocean and other dogs. Plenty of space and different depths of water with a fresh water shower jut for dogs.
