Beautiful spot. Tide was high maybe because there wasn't a lot of sand, you had to walk through some water to get to a spot on the beach. Bathroom facilities would've been nice, but otherwise it was a nice place to stop and let the dog run and swim. No problem with other dogs on the beach, dogs and owners... More

Although I am not into dogs, this is a fun place with excellent wading, snorkeling and - believe it or not - water clarity. The views of the parks and pass to the Gulf make for scenic beach environment. And since the dogs are free to themselves, they are very well behaved. People are friendly, too, whether you have a... I've been here many times with my dog (smaller dog, kinda shy), and whenever there was some beach to enjoy, it was wonderful! CHECK THE TIDES, because at high tide, the beach all but disappears! On a good day, there are plenty of dogs of various sizes, swimming, running around, and playing with each other. Owners swim or relax in... More

Fort Myers Beach is one of the best dog friendly towns. This beach is great you can let your dog off the lease and it is like a bay there is no way for them to run off.

This is the 10th Dog Beach I have visited over the years. It's for dog owners and its free. The best time to visit is an hour before low tide. The water is shallow for a long way out and the sand bars are exposed. They have a doggie shower, a portable toilet. And they are busy with lots of... More

This beach is perfect for a dip with your dog. It's clean and safe. Our dog had a great time and we did, too. We had no problem parking. I hope to visit this beach again.

If your dog does well at off-leash parks he/she will love this dog beach. Plenty of shallow water for those who aren't crazy about swimming, with the option of deeper water as well. We did not find it to be crowded at all on a Tuesday during the day. The only complaint would be that it feels pretty unsanitary. We... More

I don't know who has more fun here....the humans or the dogs!! This is an expanse of beach set well off the main road. The water is calm and shallow for lots of fun playing. Bring your own chairs, umbrellas and water plus don't forget water and a bowl for your dog! I suggest that you go early in the... More

I went there and it was covered up with very kind people and all sizes and shapes of dogs. most off leash. Mine were a 75 pound, 12 year old German Shepherd female, "Vinetta" and a 90 pound Belgian Malinois male. Mine have a high level of obedience competition training, and on leashes, so they were very obedient when the... More

We've actually been twice now when we've visited the area. The first time, we had the beach to ourselves, the second time there were a lot of people and dogs there. Most people were being courteous, only letting well-behave dogs off leash (apparently, there had been someone there early with a not-so-nice dog and someone almost got bit, but he... More
