Great place, already have plans to return next week. Tide was high so the beach area was small but you could walk out forever. Amazing how many boats were anchored.

This large, shallow water dog beach has sugar soft sand, no waves, and free parking and admittance ( unusual in the Fort Myers area). If you're coming from Ft. Myers Beach, The entrance is at the far end of Lovers Key island past the main entrance to the state park about a mile. Look for the brown sign. Bring poop... More

It was so nice to actually relax on the beach with my dog. I walked along the water with my dog while he trampled through the water. We played fetch with a stick I picked up and he tussled around with the other dogs

Great idea, Our dog had so much fun we had to go back. Unfortunately the second trip was not good. Some owners are totally irresponsible. Our dog is fairly small, a large malmute, decided to grab her and shake her up. The owner could not control her dog!!! Finally we left

We took two young big dogs to Lovers Key dog beach. Everyone was so friendly, including the dog owners. There were many boats. The water is shallow very far out. Great place to play fetch in the water. It seems everyone was picking up after their dogs. There were dogs from 5 lb-175lb and they all played well together.

Was there New Years day with the boat. Although we did not have our dog with us, watching the people with their kids and dogs having so much fun in the water made our day

Great place for taking your dogs to run and enjoy the water and other dogs. Remove the leashes and let them go. Our boys love it!

Great place for dogs and their owners. We had a good time even though our dog had to stay home. Big beach with all the dogs having a great day swimming, playing with their owners and new friends.

We hauled our 2 labs with us from Illinois 1200 miles largely based on the reviews we read about the area dog parks... This is our favorite. Our 11 year old acted like a puppy running in and out of the water and had her old energy back. The 8 month old puppy was in pure Heaven.... Running with all... More

The area is small and there are too many people and too many dogs. The big dogs dominate. I was trying to throw a ball with my rescue and a big lab keep outrunning her and would never let her get the ball. The lab owners thought it was cute. There is no place to be alone with your dog.... More
