Perfect spot for dogs

This is an excellent area for dogs to enjoy the ocean and other dogs. Plenty of space and different depths of water with a fresh water shower jut for dogs.

not really a beach as much as a small sandy area and lots of space for dogs to swim. Don't plan on privacy on weekends or even a square foot of space to yourself.

Dog Beach is located between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. It is on the Bay, just south of Lovers Key State Park. It is difficult to find a place where dogs can run free and dogs really enjoy themselves here. The only problems we experienced is we have two five pound dogs and the dogs racing around averaged 50... More

The only dog beach around the Fort Myers area that I am aware of. Parking available. The beach is a short walk from the road. There are lots of dogs at times, all sizes. We have never had a problem but my dog is not aggressive and rather would hang with us rather than other dogs. If you have a... More

a lovely area just past lovers key with shallow water and lots of beach to run on. Also offers and doggy wash up station to rinse the salt and sand.

This is a great place to take your dog and let it play in the water with other dogs! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because there were pit bulls there that attacked other dogs. This beach should not allow aggressive dogs!!!

A nice beach, very nice actually, you can take your best furry friend to. Plenty of dogs hanging out there with their humans. All well behaved, some on leashes, some off but never a problem. There is a poop bag dispenser on the trail to the beach in case you forget yours. Bring a picnic lunch and it can be... More

If you love to walk the beach & with your dog, you'll love FMB. The island has made sure that there are dog waste bags & garbage facilities for your pet. 99+% of dog owners on the beach are respectful of cleaning up after their pets. This is so important given that families play in the sand! Lastly please make... More

We visited the dog beach while on vacation at Ft. Myers. We didn't have a dog with us but it was still a blast! It's beautiful and the people are friendly and there was just about every breed of dogs running around! We even saw dolphins swimming nearby. Very fun place and easy to get to.

I never get tired of watching all the dogs run and chase each other. Whether you have a puppy or a senior dog they will find a friend. Have rarely seen any issues there with dogs miss behaving. Owners misbehaving is an occasional situation but there is a good group that make this work!! Bravo
