We hauled our 2 labs with us from Illinois 1200 miles largely based on the reviews we read about the area dog parks... This is our favorite. Our 11 year old acted like a puppy running in and out of the water and had her old energy back. The 8 month old puppy was in pure Heaven.... Running with all... More

The area is small and there are too many people and too many dogs. The big dogs dominate. I was trying to throw a ball with my rescue and a big lab keep outrunning her and would never let her get the ball. The lab owners thought it was cute. There is no place to be alone with your dog.... More

The key to enjoying this dog beach is timing. At high tides, the entire area is under water, save a sliver of beach. But a low tide, there is ample beach for dogs to run, fetch, fight and frolic. As with any dog park, there are dogs of all sizes, sensibilities and temperaments.

We went today and the beach it is real small, very narrow at spots, you have to walk by a real tight spot to even get to the so called beach. Also, you have to time it right to make low tide or else wade through the water. We have a Bully Breed who is fine off leash, can walk... More

Near Lover's Key State Park, Dog Beach is a county park with few if any amenities but is a VERY nice place to take your dog (you can swim too). Park along the road and enjoy!

Nice beach, could use a nicer access path. The ditches through mangroves were scary and tricky to manoeuvre.

We didn't have our pups with us, just wanted to check it out. It was beautiful and well maintained. One of the locals suggested we check it out, and it was well worth it.

This is a great place to relax and let your dogs play! A lot of social interacting for your pup to just let loose and enjoy other pups

Bonita Bay area. We went there w/o a dog, based upon a local person's suggestion that we check it out. Really fun. Casual beach with dogs romping freely in the waves. Maybe wear shoes in case of sharp rocks or whatever in this shallow area. We went barefoot...wreckless rebels! Nice, calm, clean area. Don't go if you don't like canines.... More

I loved the dog beach when they opened it at first. Now it has become too popular and its now a little too small for the amount of big dogs .Its a great idea ,but I don't think the city thought it would be used as much.
