After crawling along the island at less than one mile we finally arrived at Times Square which had the usual beach shops nothing special and a few restaurants

This really is nothing more than the intersection and surrounding shops an main beach on Ft. Myers beach. You WILL pay heavily if you want to park your car, especially after the small public lot fills up(that also is not free). If you are the kind of person who would love to go to the real Times Square in NYC,... More

I don't mind crowds as a general rule but this area was jam packed with people. Putting a towel on the sand in this area would be hard to do. Every place we went was crowded.

Unless you are looking for drinks & food there is not much there. A few overpriced tourist stores with the typical souvenir's. Parking is a premium so it is better to take the trolley (reg .75, seniors .35). Public restrooms are located in a beach pavilion to the north end.

Good place for the family. On weekends there is live music. Good food. Nice souvenir stores. Maybe tourists don't like it that much, but to people who live in Fort Myers is a fun place to spend the weekend, it beats the mall.

Traffic with construction is so bad it takes 2 hours to go up and down the beach. Traffic is snarled for 4 miles. The road construction goes on during the busiest part of the day and not at night. Now they are closing side road that make getting off the beach worse. Even when the weather is bad and no... More

Several places to eat and drink while listening to street music or watching street actors. Steps away from the beach and pir.

This is a fun spot to walk around, shop and people watch. There is usually some kind of entertainment, beachy shops, a pier and a very crowded beach to walk on. We watched a fisherman catch and release a stingray from the pier when we were here this time. A great place to while away the time.
