The beach is really nice. The sand is very soft almost like powder. There are nice pull offs but you have to pay in a meter. The beach is more residential which is nice.

Like so many beaches on the Florida gulf coast, this has beautiful white sand with some shells. The slope is very gentle, so it is easy to walk on, and you can go out into the water with no concern about riptides or drop-offs. You can find solitude if you like, or find bars and restaurants right next to the... More

The Lynn Hall area of the beach is quite busy at times. It is the most popular area of the entire Fort Myers Beach strip on Estero Island. There is a DQ plus many other eating establishments. There is a large washroom area with foot wash/shower stations. The parking lot is $2/hour or you can do what we do. You... More

We loved the beach's frequent public access points, It's easy to walk on this type of very fine sand so I think one might be able to walk the entire Ft. Myer's Beach coastline. Can't wait to explore more of it next time.

When my kids were young I use to drive to Florida for the March break every year.I thought I had covered most popular places.I always said I would never go back when my kids were older.I did not like Florida .Its amazing what you find when you are not really looking. Six Christmas ago I decided I was fed up... More

Ft Myers Beach (FMB) resides mostly on a true non-commercial island named Estero Island. They don't even have a MacDonald's! The people are very friendly and down to earth. The north end of the island offers lots of locally grown eateries and partying establishments. Time square (next to the pier entrance) offers entertainment that appeals to all ages. The beaches... My husband swam in the ocean daily and most days there was a group of dolphins swimming with him. He was thrilled!

We have been coming to FMB for well over a decade. the sand is like powder sugar. Over the years, the city has invested significantly in infrastructure. It took a long time to get thru the consequences of Charlie (2004) but those days are long gone. This is a very casual beach. You can dress however you want and feel... More

This beach is so very perfect! Sugar-sand beach, shelling, dolphins, and peaceful (early December). What else can be said about the place that makes me feel so relaxed, amazed, and so in touch with nature? It simply feeds the soul! My best advice...rent one of the lovely bungalows/private homes directly on the beach~I stayed on the north end of the... More
