Lovers key has a beautiful beach and an amazing amount of shells and sand dollars. We came here twice during our week long stay. We had planned on canoeing until my husband saw a sign posted near the water that said "No Swimming - Alligators". That ended our canoe adventure!! more

Happened upon this park when driving from Fort Myers Beach. Parked in a small lot on the side of the road, paid a small entrance fee, and grabbed a map. We had a toddler and it he really needed his water shoes - sand full of broken shells! He loved the trolley ride to and from the beach - was the highlight for him. No trailers or child seats available at the bike rental!? that was disappointing.... probably not a great place for small children. more

Lover's Key is probably one of our favortite beaches in the area. There is a small fee to enter the park. This is still one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been too. We used to go quite often to fly stunt kites because you need room with no people to fly them. They have roped off most of the area for bird nesting and oats so the beach is small and there is no longer room to fly... more
