This is one of the best beaches in the area of Fort Myers! Clean, friendly, trolley to south end with bathroom amenities, food, chair and umbrella rental; up front has a nice gift shop too, kayak rentals, trails, so much to do!!!

The beach was uncrowned and fine white sand. There are some great picture areas and a nice paved walkway around the park. It was my favorite beach in the area.

We've only actually went inside the park & to the beach once, but every time we go to FMB, we pull into the 30 minute parking & more times than not have seen manatee. The beach was beautiful, just far to walk to from the parking lot if you don't want to wait on the shuttle.

The beach is very bare, with nothing to see but sand and water. The trails are more interesting, but I was disappointed that the only wildlife we saw were squirrels and an owl. What knocks this place down to two stars is that I cut my leg really badly getting on the trolley. This happened over two months ago and... More

The only way to really see Lovers Key State Park is by boat. Pull up on one of the many white sand beaches to enjoy a day of swimming and sunning. Most of the this area of Florida is either developed or mangrove swamp so to have an area this large that is protected for any recreational use is great.... More

Hands down the most beautiful place in SWFL. Don't waste your money paying $10 a day to park at Fort Myers Beach. $8 gets you in Lovers Key State park for an experience of a lifetime. You have to see it to understand.

The beach is very nice. You can rent a canoe or kayak and paddle the waterway in the middle of the key, 2.5 miles up and then 2.5 miles back. If you're into suntanning and swimming, this is nice but you can save yourself the travel and entry fees by just going any of the public beaches on FMB or... More
