This is a quiet beach away from the hustle and bustle of Ft. Myers beach. No traffic noise or music. Great for walking and shelling. Take the tram out to the south beach, where there is also a shaded pavilion and BBQ grills. Rangers and volunteers are very knowledgable and helpful. There are kayaks available for rent at three locations,... More

I'll start with our first visit... we chose to kayak and paddle board from Lovers Key. The staff were very helpful in helping us choose which area to depart, since they had three different options. Our kids had never used a paddle board before and with the lesson they received by your staff, they had no trouble maneuvering through the... More

Ok beach but so many in area are so much better. This one seemed to have dirtyish water ( post storm?) was too breezy ,water was nearly hot and you were supposed to take a tram from the parking lot but we walked over two bridges o get o the beach. Maybe the tram takes one o a nicer part... More

I had to convince my husband to pay the $8 entrance fee to check out this beach because it received good reviews. I did appreciate the tram that takes you to the south part of the beach because 1000 ft walk seemed too much for us to schlepp an umbrella, chairs, skim boards, etc. Yes, it is less crowded but... We went to Lover's Key to do some geocaching and weren't planning on spending the day just taking a look around. This is a nice park, and the beach sand was great - but there was a boat that was dredging on one of the beaches which wasn't a very nice site. There seems to be a few entrances, 2... More

Really clean and fun little beach. Lovers Key is a must see, and if you are in the area, find the state park beach. Soft sand, clean water, and pretty sights!

Have been to this state park and the beaches multiple times. The beach is nice and the kayak tour we took was fantastic! Got to see multiple manatees playing within feet of our kayaks. Our daughter, her friend and my wife and I will always remember the big, graceful creatures seen up-close.

We really enjoyed the beach, the staff was very personable and helpful. My only regrets would be we stumbled upon the park the last day of our trip, and the park closed within 1 1/2 of our arrival.
