Great beach, lovely trails to walk around, excellent park staff around for questions and tours. Definitely more off the beaten path, as we thought it was uncrowded, especially for spring break. If you go, take advantage of the rentals and trails! I just hope to go back when the weather cooperates!

This beach is beautiful and seems a world away- I even enjoy the tram ride! The have terrific Park Rangers that give lectures on various topics- I enjoyed the "Sea Turtle" lecture on my last trip to this wonderful park. They also rent bikes, this is on my "to do "list for next time. We loved renting Kayaks here and... More

Lovers Key used to be accessible only by boat, hence the name, but now the State of Florida has put in access roads and even a tram to get you to the beach if you are not able bodied. The overall park is nice, but more as a nature preserve than a beach destination. The beach itself is long but... More

We read the rave reviews and had to go see this place. It is considered to be part of Fort Myers Beaches, so we thought it would be in Fort Myers, but it is actually about a 40 minute drive out of Fort Myers in Bonita Springs. It's an $8 entrance fee per car, and there was plenty of parking.... More

We took the tram to the beach and walked all the way south to the end of the beach. Hardly anyone was down there and the shelling was great. My companions went out in the water pretty far and thought there was a second sandbar out there, but got in over their heads and due to rough weather, they actually... More

We have been here twice. Last year during our visit we saw a school of sting ray under the walkway bridge. It was amazing. This year we went paddle boarding and there were manatees! One swam under my paddle board. My kids 12 and 14 were in shock. It was a wonderful experience. And added bonus the beach is fantastic!

Lover's Key has more parking than many of the other beaches we went to so you need not get there so early to still get a parking place. It has a shuttle that runs regularly to take you to either of two beaches. It also has an excellent nature trail with turn back options for shorter walks. We saw a... More

Gorgeous beach, white sand. There's a tram from the car park, lots of nature trails and you can hire bikes. Saw dolphins. Facilities are good at the beach and you can hire umbrellas and sun beds.

Beautiful beach, never crowded. Interesting wildlife all around. My husband and I both witnessed (for the first time ever) a real, live sea horse traveling through the water. We also enjoyed viewing the garden of live sand dollars and other forms of "water creatures". Extraordinary Golf Sunsets. The only fee associated was the state park entrance fee, just a few... More

Great places to escape the crowds if you are willing to walk. Nice beach and plenty of shells. Found a sand dollars too. Osprey nests close by in that you could see them in their nests.
