This is by far one of the top 10 state parks in the Florida system. We are frequent fliers at the state parks. This is one of our favorites. The beach is seldom crowded, has restrooms nearby, along with other amenities such as picnic area. The trolley service is fast, regular and friendly. There are kayak rentals and a great... More

I'm from Florida, so I know beaches, and this beach was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! It's untouched, which makes it great! The water was crystal clear and you can take nice long walks in either direction.

This beach was wonderful. From the moment you drive into the parking lot you are greeted by helpful staff in the information area. My husband and daughter opted for a kayak ride where they saw lovely birds and a few manatees. It did get very hot and buggy so be prepared with lots of sunscreen and bug spray. The best... More

A little known Florida State Park is Lovers Key. Located just over the bridge from Estero Island Ft.Myers Beach, it is an 'old Florida' natural beach that begins at the bridge & ends, well you can't walk that far in one day. LOL just kidding, but it is a beautiful strerch of beach that wraps around from the pass &... More

Great place to hang with your dog and meet some cool locals.Best to go at low tide or you may need to wade in 12"- 24" to reach the beach.

We only walked along a small section of beach in this park, but it was lovely and unspoiled. The sand was soft; the beach vegetation and sea turtle nests were protected. A couple of dolphins even wandered up for a visit.

Great State Park. Renting the kayaks is pricey but we have rented here twice and both times got to see the Manatees. We have also rented from kayak rental places and much, much cheaper. We will now only rent from the other places outside the State Park. Beach is nice. Same type of beach you get anywhere in the area... More

this park is a wonderful getaway from the city! however, the road to get there is not less-traveled! be sure to arrive early or plan on sitting in bumper to bumper traffic...well worth a little extra planning...although it's hot in the summer months, it's the best time to visit this park due to the 'winter' crowds.

Lover's Key is one of four barrier islands that make up this state park. It has enough activities to keep a family busy all day long. There's a beautiful beach for swimming and shelling; lots of trails to bike and hike; wildlife, such as eagles and manatees can be seen in the park. There's bathrooms and changing rooms. There's a...
