We rented kayaks and really enjoyed the mangrove estuary trail. A beautiful day and a protected spot to be on the water away from all of the fast boats. The biking trail was lovely, with lots of spots to stop, sit by the water and take in all of the beauty of the area. Best to go early (before 10)... More

My family is big on Sanibel beaches. I was obsessed with Sanibel, even was married on the island. However we went to Lovers Key and fell in love. When choosing what beach to go to for our last day we all chose Lovers Key over going to sanibel. Beach is beutiful and there are many things to do and see... More

We spent the entire day here during a visit to Fort Myers. It's the best beach we have found in the area. There's plenty of parking. Bring a lunch; there are snacks and drinks available but not much in the way of food. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but well worth it. There's a shuttle to... More

Beautiful, remote (feeling) beach. In actuality, you are not far from civilization, but it felt a world away. We hiked with our daughters (8 & 12) for 3 miles around the park trails and along the beach.

Lovers Key State Park is just an Awesome day at the beach with so much more! My dad and I went on a guided 2 1/2 hour kayak estuary tour. I'd like to Thank Stephan Denmark for his knowledge and expertise on the mangroves and all of it's plant, tree, marine and wildlife within this beautiful sanctuary! That was an... More

Lovely state park just south of hectic Ft. Myers Beach. Pay by the carload to enter and get a free tram ride to the wide, sandy beach. Lots of area to spread out your beach blankets plus bike, kayak rental, snack shack. Spent the better part of the day and didn't want to leave.

I was here about 3 years ago during the Christmas season and it was such a lovely trip. This is a great place for a picnic or relaxing in the sun!

We rented a bike. About $20 for 4 hours. It was great following 2 trails and then riding down to the beach. The canoeing and kayaking looked like fun also but we did not get a chance to do that. Plenty of parking is available and the staff is friendly. The only down side was the food place on the... More
