this was a beautiful place to visit for free. The only cost was to go to the nature park or to ride the animals. There was a flea market going on the day we visited and I loved it as well.

The Shell Factory has been around for years. It is a local favorite. They have putt putt golf, bumper boats, a small zoo (for a fee), a Christmas shop, fudge factory, Ice cream parlor, Subway shop, post office and more. They have a large section of animals that have been preserved through taxidermy. They have a pirate room for the... More

Our family of six visited and had to purchase a 'two-day' pass which was totally unnecessary since we were only there for the day. Six tickets ran us over $70, for about two hours of entertainment. The park is a bit run down and dirty but the animals were amusing and the bird enclosure was were our family spent the... More

I visited with my 3 nephews (9, 7 and 3yrs) and niece (3 yrs) and while it may be old, a bit dated and slightly run down, the kids had a "wonderful" time. Places like these need to be preserved and children should have fun like children did years ago . Children can have fun with the basics and do... More

I Remember this place as a kid back in the 80's. NOT A THING HAS CHANGED. The shell factory has nothing exciting to offer, nothing exciting to look at. The best things about it was the taxidermy room. The taxidermy was the best, though covered in dust and faded. you can tell all displays in this place haven't been moved... More

Yes..parts are outdated, but let's preserve OUR history. No electronics or computers ...just good old fun time. If you're looking for high tech stuff..please stay away. Otherwise, if you really want to be a kid, please visit. And also, look for Lilli... She wants to say HI.

the shell factory is HUGE! this store has anything you could possibly want as souvineers. the nature park was great...the aviary walk thru was amazing...3 iguanas, several peacocks, a tortoise, and several birds of different species inhabited it. we ate at capt fishbones which was right there and it was great also.

This attraction was a disappointment. It reminded me of an old, worn out, tawdry amusement park. It boasts of 4 "museums" which were really just rooms in this extremely large, falling apart building. In the shell "museum" the lights didn't even work so you could see the shells and it lacked signage so you knew what you were looking at. The... More

Very worn down, activities are rusty and worn down. The store seems very over priced. Overall not a very good place

This site is a jumble of attractions that are peculiar at best. On the day we visited there were people training their dogs for diving competitions in a corner of the parking lot, (turned out to be one of the most interesting aspects), a few people playing miniature golf, a couple of people on a pond in some kind of...
