I have never visited a dog park prior. Found the beach to be dirty with feces. It was high tide on arrival and a filthy walk to the beach. Could benefit from a boardwalk and a fence at the highway. The water was pleasant and knee depth that my standard poodle enjoyed without having to swim. The car and dog... More

We have taken our mini golden doodle Oliver here two days in a row now and he loves it. Most the dogs were very friendly and he enjoyed playing with them. There were quite a few dogs on the weekend however and i followed my pup around just to be safe! Oliver is napping now he's worn out from the... More

Too many people here are posting reviews for Bonita Beach which is a TOTALLY separate entity than the Bonita Dog Beach. While Bonita Beach is nice as many people's reviews reflect... The Bonita Dog Beach is an unattended mix of (mostly) absent minded dog owners, who seem to think that their can run free with no supervision whatsoever. Don't plan... More

We took both our German Wirehair and Yorkie. Both loved to run around freely. I was worried about my little one because there were larger dogs and the owners seem to be to busy socializing then paying attention. Within minutes of being there my bag was peed on not just once but 3 times. Three days later my German Wirehair... More

We own two Boston Terriers and they love to run and mingle with the other dogs. On this specific day, there was another Boston Terrier at the park, and an Akita. The Akita attacked the Boston Terrier and shook it like a rag doll, which caused a puncture wound in the neck of the Boston Terrier.... because of this negligent... More

I have 3 dogs and love them but watching dogs pee on people's beach bags pooping in the water there is nothing hygienic about this place. People take no responsibility for their animals and you can't even have lunch without 3 dogs being around you. I talked to a vet and she said with all the dogs that are their... More

Something changed here when they brought in all the extra sand at the inlet. Has lost a lot of charm as a result of the sand that was brought in. Too many boats anchor toward the inlet now. Very good for shelling still.

Since Bonita Beach does not have all of the shopping and eating facilities they have at Fort Myers Beach, it is less crowded. They have clean restrooms and an outdoor fresh water shower for rinsing the sand and salt water. There are several picnic tables. Some are located in an elevated gazebo. Others are on the ground with barbeque grills.... More
