What a great way to spend an afternoon. We really enjoyed walking around the park, learning about Edison and the exotic tree species he had brought in from all over the world.

The big tree had a lot of branches all over. It was great to see something like that one. You would never believe that a tree would look like that. It was great.

Our tour guide was very in formative, gave wonderful descriptions of Edison's and Ford's science/inventions and contributions to the world, about their familes lives. House furnishings were described of old or refurbished and what a delight to know so much more about both men.

I enjoyed both the museum and the grounds. I don't think $20 for both is out of line if you enjoy gardens, historic buildings, a river view, and a history museum. I can see where some folks would enjoy the museum and not the grounds, and vice versa.

Near the Edison&Ford house, there is a statue of Edison under a big tree full of branches spreading all over the place, really an incredible view, worth to stop at least for a quick look. Didn't know they are trees planted by this Edison foundation to produce rubber in case of shortage of the substance back in the early XXth... More

It's a lot of fun to see TA Edison's inventions and over the top ideas. But it is so expensive. What not make it more accessible to the average tourist or Floridian? I think it could be much more fun if one didn't have to hand over the house and the kids to gain admittance. But it is a good... More

Edison brought change to Ft. Myers like he did everywhere he went. Seeing Edison during the later stages of his life and seeing his accomplishments in the framework of his vacation home was an excellent way to spend the morning.
