Driving this section of McGregor Blvd is so impressive! It conjures up pictures in your mind on what it must have been like when Ford and Edison lived in the estates nearby. It's fabulous that the city has maintained this street so well! I'm not sure if the city has any parades that use this route, but I imagine that... More

A must drive not usually mentioned as an area highlight. Stop at Edison house parking lot to see the Banyon tree whether or not you tour the Edison and Ford houses.

Our visit to SWFL is not complete without a drive down McGregor Blvd. The Royal Palms are so stately, protective, and their sway in the breezes are breath-taking. See them at sunset and enjoy God's artistic palate at work.

It may not be 1000 palms but this is the most beautiful boulevard in Ft. Myers. It will take you to the Ford/Edison homes and you'll expect Hemingway to be standing off to the side. Gorgeous.

Took this road from Fort Myers Beach to the historic district in Fort Myers. The royal palms and the mid century houses makes this a really nice drive making you feel you are truly in Florida. I was lucky enough to drive it on the less busy time and would recommend it if you want to experience some great scenery... More

A beautiful drive between Colonial to down town Fort Myers. McGregor is lined with Royal Palms which Thomas Edison is said to have planted, thus the name "City of Palms". It is the "Old Fort Myers" neighborhood with many beautiful old southern homes along the way and on the side roads. Just before you come into town, there is a... More

This is a nice low traffic area. Folks are not crazy driving here. It is very pretty and serene. But after a storm or windy conditions lot of palms on the roadway
