The drive from our hotel on McGregor Blvd to the Edison/Ford estates was beautiful. As we were driving toward the estates, the palms on both sides of the street were swaying, and it was so calming. It would have been great to ride in a convertible as we were driving the boulevard. More

when travelers visit Fort Myers they go to Mcgregor Blvd. The original road from Fort Myers to the Beaches, it is lined with Royal Palms for many miles. This is what you remember, the sight of the Palms, thanks to Thomas Edison who originally brought them to the city of his winter home. Travel through Florida History down this scenic... More

this is one unbelieveable boulevard. It is lined with palm trees and very peaceful to drive thru. Also it takes you from the Ford winter estates all the way to the beach. You relly feel good when you drive down the Boulevard of Palm Trees. Makes you feel like it is a cool summer afternoon and you should be out... More

It's pretty to drive through, however, it's not that long of a drive thought the palm-lined street to make a special trip for it. Unless it's Christmas time. More

I drive up and down McGregor Blvd every day and always enjoy the North end which marks the beginning of the Historic District. Here you will find the Edison and Ford Winter Estates and lots of lovely old homes which line the Caloosahatchee River. Lots of good places to stop and eat along the way too. More

McGregor Boulevard is lined with Royal Palms. Thomas Edison started to plant them along the road and the city has kept up with it. Beautiful Old Floridian Street. More
