Older locals call this " The Boulevard" and I've lived "off McGregor" for 16 years and never tire if its beauty, although the traffic in season is a drag. See joggers and bikers compete for sidewalk space as this Main Street to The River District is a must for for those new to Fort. Myers.. I keep telling myself people... More

McGregor Blvd has 2 or 3 areas that have the Royal Palms and they sure a pretty sight. Look forward to seeing them every time we travel to Fort Myers.

This is truly a magnificent boulevard! Yes, there's a lot of traffic passing through. But those old Florida houses, the estates ( that we can not afford), the poinciana in bloom and the tiny mangoes....it's worth the drive after a lucnheon in those hideaways tiny restaurants. It's back again to US 41 or I 75.

McGregor Blvd is beautiful with its' tall palm trees. But for some reason, people tend to race on that road, causing numerous accidents throughout the year. I try to avoid that road if I can. But at Christmas, they decorate the Palms real nice. And they do have the Edison Estate which is always interesting.

I love traveling this street, never gets old! The beautiful, tall palms that line this street for miles and miles are a must-see! Have your camera ready, whomever is in the front passenger seat needs to take a few pictures because you will want to remember this beautiful scenery for the rest of your life!

The tall palms reminded us of Palm Beach; however, as nice as this area is, I would not make it a destination. If you are planning a trip to Ft Myers Beach take this route and kill two birds. If you plan to visit the Ford/Edison estates you will follow this route. It leads you back to the historic district... More

These royal palms are very impressive with some as tall as 75 feet tall. It is a beautiful drive with some history as the Edison and Ford winter homes are located along this road. This is one of the main roads you can travel on to enter downtown Fort Myers, giving the town the nick name of "City of Palms".... More

I am truly unsure what all of the hype is about. Forty years ago it was a scenic drive. It was a two lane road back then and was charming. This is no longer so. Just like Maggie Valley North Carolina, its charm was ruined by a four lane.

Palm tree lined almost its entire length. Beautiful homes almost everywhere as well as up-scale looking communities. You wont see any restaurants or gas stations till you drive down to the very south end.

Arrived and was not acknowledged by any of the staff who did walk by several times. One of the other patrons advised me that I should put my name on the "list" if I expected to be seated anytime in the the future. I passed the same info on to other customers who came in behind me. We were eventually... More
