Exhibit is ok....Bistro is awesome

Do the docent tour. We self-toured and missed a lot. Exhibit is a little pricey, but interesting. The gardener was very helpful. She provided us a brief primer before we... read more

The docents are knowledgeable and friendly. Will tell you as much as you want or leave you to your own musings. The price of admission is high but worth it, a beautiful place to contemplate and meditate.

I was surprised to see so many poor reviews! Yes, it's small, but beautiful inside and small means a better chance to see and photograph the butterflies! I didn't find the price that bad, considering it's being used to save the butterflies! However, it is very hot inside, you will sweat! I enjoyed stalking the butterflies waiting for that perfect... Although fairly small, this is a well planned butterfly and flower conservatory. There are several benches placed inside the garden,as well as small pools and a waterfall. Goldfish, Koi, and turtles are a bonus. We saw at least 15 different butterflies including a Zebra Swallowtail when we were there in early May. A good place to take younger children.

Went with our daughter, her husband and our grandson . The admission price is a little high but we hoped it would be worth it. The garden inside with the brook running throughout was beautiful and lots of fish but as far as butterflies go it was very disappointing. I don't think we saw more than 20 butterflies in the... The staff is very well informed and the butterfly area is just beautiful and the butterflies fun to see. Just a nice, calm place to visit.

Took some friends who were visiting from up North and their two girls, both under 10 years of age, were mesmerized. As were we adults. Such a beautiful place.

The butterfly Estates is a quite, peaceful way to get away from the noise and hassle of life and watch those beautiful flying flowers. It is smaller than I would prefer, and it is hot in there (butterflies need to stay warm, so it can get rather warm sometimes.) There's a lovely little creek going thru the center of the... More

It is a nice little place run by lovely people. You get all relevant informations about butterflies and you can feel that these people love the job. All butterflies are local in Florida and bought anywhere in the world to fill up the house. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back.

Butterfly Estates is a great place to take small children. My girls (7), (8) loved being able to identify the native Florida species. The staff raise and breed only native species and release them to the wild. We were able to see approximately 8 different varies of butterflies.

Do the docent tour. We self-toured and missed a lot. Exhibit is a little pricey, but interesting. The gardener was very helpful. She provided us a brief primer before we entered. Be prepared to be HOT. While there are fans inside, the enclosure is quite warm so dress appropriately. The ice cream shop and gift shop were very nice with... More
