Nice, clean sand. Water is clear. No weeds and rocks on the bottom. You don't have to haul your stuff for miles to get to the beach and the water. And depending on where you situate yourself, you might be able to walk across the street and grab a frozen cocktail!

Fort Lauderdale beaches are really clean with beautiful white sand. The sea is warm and terrific for lolling around in watching the fish swim around your feet! In August the waves seem to be no problem and you can swim to your heart's delight. It is amazing to think the beach is dotted with taped-off areas (usually a couple of... More

I used to come to this beach during the early 1960's... Yes, I'm that old !!! This place has improved tremendously since then and it already was back them a wonderful place to visit. Much work has been done all along Las Olas Blvd., and many new restaurants are within walking distance of many sections of the beach. I truly... More

If I didn't do anything else, since I live in Central Texas, I was going to walk the beach and get my feet wet, and the water was warm. So easy to get to, and very clean. Given this time of year it was not packed.

Warm waters and white sand. How can you go wrong. Miles of public access beach. Noted for the "spring break college crowd", but is really beautiful all year long. Parking can be an issue during the busy season, especially on weekends. Many places to eat or shop (mostly Tee Shirt Shops) across from the beach. Lots of high end hotels... More

I do wish it had a bathroom! Come on Ft. Laurderdale, you can do better than this! But at least, there are vendors who will charge you for renting umbrellas and lounge chairs….try to leave without losing a arm or a leg! For 2 chairs and 1 umbrella, we paid $50.00! That seems way too high in my opinion!

A fantastic clean long beach with plenty of activities. It is a great walk and ads to the distinctive vibe of the whole resort!
