We parked our beach chairs and umbrella across from H20 cafe. The water was perfect and we went to the cafe for an iced coffee and grabbed a big turkey sandwich and salad for $8. Can't beat that. For this family of four this beach was the perfect place to laze the day away. Parking was close to the beach... More

The small shops, restaurants, and the mall down the street down the street was nice. However, relaxing on the beach put me in my favorite nature element.

miles and miles of white sandy beach - lots of room for everyone and stores and cafes just across the street - use the marked cross walks

This beach is quite large with very nice sand and no large expanses of shells or rocks to hurt your feet. We especially loved walking it in the mornings! It was also very interesting as our resort was close to the port and we had the luck to see many interesting vessels embark. Always impressive to watch a huge cruise... More

The location is off site; however, a shuttle is provided. We booked a full size car and upon arrival we were offered a upgrade to Volvo SUV for $13 additional (total!). We took the upgrade and fully enjoyed the extra comfort for the SUV. The agents were very friendly and accommodating.

The beach is wonderful. Water really warm. It is very different from day to day. Sometimes you can walk for a long time and there is no waves and sometimes there is strong waves. They do close the beach when an electric storm is coming.

The beach was crowded for a mid-week June day. The beach was wide and expansive and had a wall separating it from the street. The street is one way so it's not a problem getting across. The beach was very clean, the waves weren't bad and you were able to see cruise ships and other boaters going by. There are... More

The beach was beautiful. I saw no debris at all. The water was blue and clear and could walk a good distance out

Fort Lauderdale's beach has changed a lot since I lived there in the early 1980's. It is well kept, clean, and a great vacation destination. There is an ample variety of hotels/restaurants/shops for everyone's taste along A1A. Traffic is designed to move drivers without risking pedestrian safety.
