I came here on my honeymoon. The beach in Fort Lauderdale is beautiful, everyone always talks about Miami and personally I think there are too many people in Miami. It also depends on what type of beach you prefer. Miami and South beach are more suitable for adults looking to tan and enjoy the ocean, and go out for drinks... More

Great view of the cruise ships, very close to the beach. You will pay extra for these. It is also a very heavy traffic area

Overall a very clean beach. Plenty of white sand and room for sandcastles. Lifeguards were on duty and were very careful to let people know about rip currents and undertow. Only issue was the first day there was a tremendous amount of seaweed in the water and in the beach. By day two most of it was gone and they... More

Easy access parking (park at the lot on the south side of the beach), tourist shops, restaurants, and bars! Great Beach area! A must see for everyone visiting Ft. Lauderdale.

Lauderdale offers a large and beautiful beach, fun clubs, excellent restaurants, plenty of sights including nature sights in the Everglades. It is reasonable, but not uber cheap. Great for couples and families alike. If you are OK with a hotel one Bloch from the beach, you can save a ton of $$$.

As a resident of Ft. Lauderdale and well traveled, the beaches here are wonderful. Wide, soft white sand with warm, clear waters.

I have lived here 40 years and much of the beach has eroded and parking is expensive for a full day. There use to be a lot of free parking, but that was decades ago The places on A1A are over priced for there fare and mediocre. There is a new restaurant if you are lucky to find a spot... More

Lots of fun lots to do. Great places to eat. Shopping is great. Can be expensive but lots of two for ones around town. The beach is very pretty. Not much for kids to do on the beach but play in the ocean. All in all a good time
