Always a nice clean beach to people watch or grab a few rays. Close to good cafes and bars. Paid parking lot sometimes is full during weekends/local events/and holiday periods.

Was astonished at the number of marked sea turtle nests on the beach. Would love to be there for the hatching.

It is in a convenient area. Close to many restaurants & shops. You will, however, need to rent a car.

The beachfront is real nice with lots of places across from beach to eat and drink. Also a 7-11 and liquor stores available in the area.

Fort Lauderdale has come a long way from its spring break heyday. The beaches are clean, the bars and restaurants are trendy and they're is something to do for all ages.

The sand is soft enough to walk on barefoot. It can get a bit hot so flip flops are great to have. The water was 86 degrees. It can get a little choppy and there is the ocean breeze.

What a beautiful clean beach! Lots of seashells make for a shimmery beach. The water is fairly calm and clear to about 3 feet. Safe for swimming, mind the boeys and lifeguards. There is a great paved running path on parts of the beach. I'd you decide to walk along the beach made sure you go equal distance in each... More

New hotel properties across the street from the beach: Ritz Carlton, Hilton. Parking can be an issue sometimes, so plan ahead your visit.
