Downtown Hollywood now has the second theater with this name in the county... the first is the home of the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival. Both show art house films, documentaries and live opera and other events. This theater is small--- about 90 seats, but it's comfortable and brand new! I walk here from my house 4 blocks away. There's plenty... More

New and inviting place. Too expensive for what it is if you just walk in. Groupon and tourist discounts are available though, but have to plan in advance. Very limited concessions.

Not your run of the mill movie theatre. Great historical building for a smaller audience showing intelligent movies in downtown Fort Lauderdale. A home to the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival. Ronald & Sheila P

Great spot that I love to visit. The movie choices rock and the low key crowds are a plus compared to the big city cinema plex style today. Worth the visit if there is a flick you like.

Love the ambiance of this theater...it adds so much to the experience of the film you are watching on the screen. No special effects chairs here, folks.

Watched CHEF - been awhile since I've been to the movies and it's more the venue which attracted me. Friendly staff and comfy seats but quite a bit of development happening around the area. Usually, these type of venues are not very clean (a bit on the dive side) but this seem well kept. It was nice to be able... More

I have been three times and the films are always interesting! On my last visit got a lecture from the son of famous actors who shared good inside information on both his parents and growing up in "old Hollywood". One of his dad's films followed which made the night out to Cinema Paradiso a wonderful memory! Two locations downtown Fort... More

Intellectual fare. Great thematic cinema. Needs to advertise more so you know whats on. Located off Las Olas so after shopping, dining or strolling, go catch some "Throwback" culture--Artsy Films.

I'm. It sure how long their lease is, but I'm sure once it's over they will shut down. The place is quite run down and so is the riverfront area, which I'm sure is the main reason it's not that popular.

I say independent film because this is the place to see those film gems whether foreign or domestic--sometimes just as they are opening in other big cities--say NYC. It's also the place to see them when the chain theaters just don't show them several months down the line. They now have another venue on Hollywood Blvd in the heart of... More
