One can enjoy an inexpensive entertaining view on a late Sunday afternoon by walking Las Olas Boulevard to the draw bridge. With all of the ships, sailboats, ferries, and motor craft on the water it is very entertaining. We got to see the drawbridge in action for a tall masted sailboat; one container ship leave the dock; five cruise ships... More

Every type of restaurant that you could want, as well as upscale boutiques can be found on Las Olas. In season, it can be a bit busy and even noisy, but it is a must-see and well worth it for the quality of the restaurants. Not the Ft. Lauderdale that we left 30 years ago! Much better!

Barring terrible traffic up and back, it was a lovely change from Miami. I felt like I was on vacation! Next time I would go to the museums and walk... More

This boulevard is a collection of small shops and restaurants where everything is chosen delicately. You can stroll through the street under the shadow of the trees, or you can sit and have an ice cream, all very peaceful and nice

I like the food in some restaurants and disliked the traffic. Overall I did like the city of Fort Lauder-dale.
