We did this trip in June 2018. We bought tickets to the 5:00 cruise on Friday night. The ticket shows the boat in the attached pictures as well as talks about a drink included in the boat through their onboard cocktail bar, tour around millionaires row, etc. When we arrived, the woman gave us tickets and told us the tickets included a drink in the coolers on the boat. Ok, is that the same as a “full cocktail bar onboard?”
We were confused at first because we were told to board a boat that looked like a different color water taxi. When we got on board no one was there to take our tickets so we sat in the back where the other 10 guests were. All of the outside seats were directly behind the bathroom ( aka our view for the next 1.5 hours). When the boat went underway, the First Mate admitted that their intercom system didn’t work and he would do the best he can. Which he did, I’ll give him create for having to yell over the motor the entire time. He kept saying, however, that he was doing the best he could and if that didn’t work, there was alcohol. Great. About halfway through the tour we deliberately had to ask for the included drink. He then admitted that they only had three cans of beer left ( no wine, and certainly no cocktails). There were about 10 people. Those lucky few got a bud light. That’s the same as a “full cocktail bar” right? The tour itself was a glorified ride on a water taxi. The First Mate gave some input to a choice few houses and completed his script about halfway through the journey. The remainder of the voyage was a ride with no employee riding in the back with all of the guests, no engagement, and a few empty bud light cans.
All-in-all we highly recommend looking into another company or service to take a tour of the canals in Fort Lauderdale.
