Was very nice when it first opened but now has deteriorated into a no man's land. I think it will be torn down soon.

it's a ghost town here. It used to be booming with restaurants, bars and people. Not sure why everyone left but there are only a few restaurants left. Save time and skip this area.

We went to a really nice sushi/tapas restaurant on the beach but we were there on a Monday night and the riverfront was really quiet. Although there was music and people on the riverfront it was ok. I was more interested in the turtle's nest on the beach.

This used to be a great place to hang out, but now everything is gone. There's only a few restaurants left. What a shame, it's in a GREAT location, right on the water.

How does it even happen that all those buildings, fountains, escalators, etc. are left to just ROT right next to a beautiful, well-landscaped walkway along the waterway? Within steps of a nice downtown, a museum (which is why we were there), near what look like million dollars per unit condos? What kind of colossal greed and/or mismanagement ends in this... More

It has many many years since we have visited this once vibrant spot. Looking at the place now, it is sad to see the decay and the void. The economy clearly has made an negative impact with only 2 stores and the AMC theaters listed on the directory. Don’t waste your time here.

We were in the area for a river cruise. It was sad how desolate the area is. Word is they want to tear it down and build more CONDOS! Most of the buildings are empty save for a few restaurants, some new, some that have been there a long while.

It's a pretty walk along the water. It seems like a lot of locals run along it or walk their dog. You also can see some impressive yahcts/boats parked along the wall by the marina. But that's it. All the shops are empty. There is the one Irish bar that we didn't stop in. There's nothing else. Should have known... More

They need fresh ideas here.My wife and I have been here during its heyday, not too long ago with many bars eateries and other attractions. Now the only time to go is during the day to take a stroll along the riverfront or use it as a stop for the water taxi.Even during festivals like St.Patricks Day it is not as packed... It is such a shame what happened to the Las Olas Riverfront. When I first visited, Fort Lauderdale back in 2002, the Las Olas Riverfront was a hot spot. It had a great variety of restaurants, fabulous bars and a well-run movie theater in addition to many boutique like shops. The area was always packed with couples, families and young... More
