Modern clean facility downtown. The museum gives visitors a hands on exploration of the most mysterious and powerful objects in the Universe. Right now "Black Holes: Space Warps & Time Twists. They have exhibits that explore human body, everglades, and whatever your granddaughters can think to ask. They just sit down at the computer (exhibit) and follow instructions.

I went with my husband and my mother-in-law not realizing that this museum was really for children. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have children or a LOT of patience. For us, it was really a waste of money. I should have read other reviews before coming, so please read this one! The only cool think was... More

This is a wonderful place to spend several hours in the Fort Lauderdale area. The bldg. is on the corner of fifth Ave. and Broward Blvd. and encompasses most of that block. Inside you will find exhibits that will enthrall you. The museum is slated towards those who want to learn more about natural history and science in an easy-to-learn... More

Took my 3 kids here ranging in age from 1.5 to 13 and each of us enjoyed our time here. We had a great time exploring and seeing all the different exhibits. It was nice to go to a museum that wasn't just strictly one topic/style. From the human body, to the everglades to the toddler play area. What a... More

It took about four hours to go through the museum and we had seen everything. Everyone there especially the children seemed to be enjoying themselves. There were exhibits that were not functioning properly and disappointing to the kids. There are parking meters so be prepared - they do accept credit cards. We went there for a discounted price of $5... More

Learned a lot while here. There are many hands on activities and a lot to do. We must have spent a good 3-4 hours here because there was so much to see and do. It's a great price and the IMAX feature we viewed was great also. Will definitely come again the future.

The Museum of Discovery and Science is currently the largest Science Museum in Dade, Broward or Palm Beach Counties, but it will be greatly dwarfed when the new Miami Museum of Science opens in Downtown Miami sometime in late 2015 I've heard. First, there is no free parking at the museum, which sours the experience from the beginning. You can... More

Interesting and interactive science museum fun for the whole family. Two floors of displays and live animals. Good for an entire morning or afternoon. Reasonably priced.

We went for the Joe Dimaggio's Family Festival this year. Really disappointed at the outdated and dull exhibits. I still prefer visiting the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium in Coral Gables and the Miami Children's Musrum near Jungle Island over this one. The IMAX theaters were closed for renovation, so that was also a killjoy. Admission to the museum... More

We were looking for something different to do when the Museum was suggested. Both grandkids loved it. 13 and 4. We will be back.
