We found about this museum through our car GPS when searching for something different to do with our kids. Nice surprise! A very nice and organized museum for all ages, lots of learning and interactions for children. The aeronautical section is de coolest!

My wife and I found ourselves in Ft. Lauderdale for a day in March 2015 and decided to check out the Museum of Discovery and Science. This is a very nicely arranged science center with lots of interesting exhibits. We found that the emphasis on South Florida's environment and ecosystem was very well presented. The museum has an IMAX theater,... More

It was the coldest day of our spring break, and we decided to check out the museum. Our kids, ages 4 and 7, loved it. We live in Indianapolis and have an annual pass to one of the best children's museums in the country, and this was just as exciting for the kids. The interactive exhibits were top notch!!

Lots of exhibits to keep you and the kids occupied for many hours... lot of mind teasers too. There are many live animals to see too.

We love going here for the IMAX films, but we also will bring our toddler to see the exhibits. There is a huge clock out front that has been there since I was a child, and it is still has the same draw now as it did then. If you want to come on a date, eat at one of... More

We went here to kill some time between checking out of our hotel and going to the airport. There were a variety of exhibits, but some became crowded due to school field trips. My 3 year old enjoyed climbing up into the hardwood hammock display and the dinosaur exhibit. If you are a member of your local science museum, check... More

Two senior citizens played as kids again at the Museum of Discovery & Science. Also saw an Imax movie. Lots of the stuff was taken over by the kids and some of the attractions didn't work at all. Kinda disappointed about that. Did the Mars rover & air boat ride both simulated so what can you expect. Imax was the... More

Took my son and his family here last week. This is a great place for the family to wile away two or three hours. Lots of interactive exhibits give visitors a hands on experience. The clock in the front courtyard captivated me. I could sit and watch it all afternoon. An IMAX is located inside, but due to a time... More

The museum has many interactive attractions especially for children. Admittance is reasonable ($64 for five of us) Plan on spending about 2-3 hours to see everything. negative is the constant running screaming and yelling of hoards of semi-supervised kids. They bring them in by the busloads from schools. I suggest that you go later in the day when the schools... More
