a bit dated in its technology, but gives a decent overview of the region. Good for kids. An okay way to spend a rainy morning

Yesterday, we went to see The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. Absolutely loved the screen and the sound system. We will definitely return to watch some of the movies showcased in the trailers preceeding the movie. Watching the fights and special effects in 3D really made The Hobbit more entertaining than the first two movies we saw on a... More

The Museum of Discovery and Science is such a great place to visit, no matter what your age. There is an incredible amount of things to enjoy, learn from, and experience. I was very impressed by the amount of interaction!!! There is not one dull exhibit. The new simulator was a GREAT RIDE. And the Florida Everglades simulator was fun... More

I have never been to the museum section of this nice looking facility, but I have been here several times at the IMAX theater to see a special movie with other members of my dive club. The most recent time was a couple of nights ago, to see the third "Hobbit" movie. I go to the regular theaters at least... More

It was a rainy day in Florida and we needed something to do with the kids. We went the moment it opened, waited on a very long line to buy expensive tickets and got inside and there was very little for the kids to do. Lots of stuff needs to be updated and more staffers need to be monitoring the... More

Went with my 3 year old granddaughter and wasnt overly impressed. Started on the 2nd fl where there is an aviation section that I found disappointing because I found that the computer systems in the planes really werent working well or at all. She kinda just ran around climbing in and out. There was an area on space which I... More

There are 3 snack options including a popcorn and candy stand and a pretzels and a subway on... More

We went to the museum with our 10 year old daughter who loves science. The animal and sealife exhibits are excellent! We saw a baby sea turtle and petted a rare Eastern indigo snake. There were tarantulas, baby gators and a huge cockroach. The second floor of the museum is dedicated to a lot of hands-on exhibits covering science and... More

The teens enjoyed it here. It was a fine way to spend a few hours. I don't think it was too expensive, at least I don't remember it being expensive.
