Great place for families

MODS is always a treat for my family. The kids love roaming around and participating in all the exhibits. Afterwards, a show in the IMAX Theater tops off the day!

We spent 4 hours here rushing through and still did not get to everything. Will go back next time we are in town. If your local and have kids, your crazy not to come here monthly.

Imax movie theater that screens major releases (saw Avatar here years ago) and a wonderful museum. Particularly nice water display as an entry centerpiece.

We took our 4 year old to visit his Museum on a whim after watching Night at the Museum in the morning. We loved it. We got to interact with two different snakes which a handler each walks around the museum with. There are spiders and baby sharks, lobsters and turtles....lots to see. Also there is a play area/discovery area... More

My daughter's Girl Scout troop was to attend a sleepover at this museum earned from their hard work selling cookies. The museum screwed up royally and their lack of moral & ethical values is disgraceful. I urge all considering to give any business to this museum think twice. We alos just found out they did this exact thing to a... More

An apology has been extended to the entire girl scout troop via email for this scheduling mix-up. The reservation was for 40 so 40 exhibit passes were mailed to Krista A. so the girls can visit the museum another time. We also offered to move the date but the troop already booked at a Zoo. Plus offered to honor their... More

The Museum of Science and Discovery's Reservation Department should be utterly ashamed of themselves. I booked and paid a deposit for a sleepover for my Girl Scout troop 4mths in advance, and The Museum cancelled my reservations one month prior with nothing but a "we're sorry" and a "oh you can select another date". I must express how deeply disappointed... More

if you are expecting the Boston Museum of Science, Liberty Science Center, Franklin Institute or Smithsonian Air and Space then you will be very very disappointed. While I wasn't expecting it to be a top notch Science Museum I thought they could do better even in Fort Lauderdale. For 2 adults and a 12 year old the admission was $40.... More

Exploration is the theme of this one of a kind museum. With their beautiful fish tanks, turtles, otters, and aircraft exhibits there's something here for everyone! Plus if you go to the IMAX there's even more to enjoy. Also, if you want to see your favorite blockbuster movies in IMAX 3D you can do that here. So come and spend... More
