We have a tradition of going to the IMAX theatre inside. The screen is 5 stories high and sound is great. Always fun to look at the beautiful large stones when the movie is over. You have to go thru some of the rock exhibits when you exit.

This museum is wonderful ! many of the attractions are "hands-on" so kids enjoy them very much. There are themed áreas like ocean, fish, aviation, human body, dinossaurs, hurricane, etc. Very interesting for kids and adults alike.

We took my 2 year old granddughter to the museum and she loved it. It has something for everything. The Sesame Street exhibit is just adorable, that was the favorite, but also the rockets, and fish, and elephants. Everything is hands on for the kids. The ride on the airboat was fun, tho she was a bit young for that.... More

Some good interactive exhibits for kids, but some of the electronic ones are very dated. $54 for 4 of us and the decent couple of rides inside are extra. Coming from London where the museums are free for everyone, felt rather short changed.

My husband, baby and I visited here today. The ticket prices are reasonable. The exhibits were informative but best for kids. I will definitely bring our daughter back here when she is a toddler. The otters were the best part. Not a bad place to spend a few hours.

This is just one of those terrific places you must see and especially, with a family and children. There are many diverse adventures in which to participate that are part of the museum to the I-MAX theater. Having resided in Fort Lauderdale for 40 years we have seen first hand this museum grow and it is not to be missed.... More

Lots of learning for everyone with great activities. The prices are very reasonable for a full days worth of activities and an IMAX film. Fun for parents, grandparents, and young kids.

Just enough to do. The exhibits are varied! Kids loved the rides and learning about important and relevant subject matter (ie. Weather, body, flight, Everglades, etc...). Kids loved the simulators! A great place to go mid-day when very hot outside. Subway restaurant and pretzel booth on premises for lunch. Didn't get a chance to see IMAX movie. Maybe next time!

So we visited yesterday, and I will say it is respite from the heat. I'm comparing this to the Houston Children's Museum and our Natural Science Museum, so I suppose the comparison is not a fair one. The pros: If you've got a couple of hours to kill, this might be the place. There's cool A/C, wifi, an IMAX (we... More
