Just spent an awesome morning with Captain Jeff Crumpton. He is very knowledgable, fun and you're definitely going to have a great time! He picked us up right on time, told us about all of the surrounding areas and gave us a 101 on fishing! My husband and I are very experienced, so Jeff taught us the basics - just... More

Capt Jeff was fabulous. He put us on the fish right out of the docks and helped tutor my son(12) on the proper techniques to catch fish...and he did. We caught a dozen Bull Reds 3 Black Drum a Lizard Fish and a Sea Bass. Jeff was fabulous and was very patient with my son. We caught fish, had a... More

we had read great things about Captain Jeff and therefore it seemed an easy choice to choose Captain Jeff. Duly we booked, speaking directly to Jeff, for the trip the next day. We arrived as agreed at 7.45am and Jeff no showed. We phoned him twice, we asked a lot of people, we left messages but nothing. Having travelled all... More

Sorry that I had a family emergency, I did respond that I would have to cancel our scheduled trip at 6:30am. And you text me back that for some reason you did not recieve my text or message till later in the day. But I did not stand you up and things happen out of our control, Mr. Simon glad... More

Captain Jeff is fantastic! He treated me and my two sons (13 and 15) with the utmost respect and courtesy the entire trip. We are not very experienced with fishing, mostly bream and catfish in fresh water. He explained to us in detail everything we needed to know to catch fish and lots of them. He was never condescending but... More

We were lucky to have this captain on our trip out on the backwaters! Very knowledgable, great personality, and knew exactly where the fish would be biting. We would absolutely come back and bring the kids along :)

Pros: Amelia Island Charter offers a variety of tours to embark on. We chose to take the Cumberland Island tour. We learned and saw so much history and wild life. The tour guide was funny and friendly. Def. booking another tour for the ecosystem tour (shrimp). Con: 3 hour trip. Just wish they would post length of trip just for... More

My kids (7 and 9) wanted to go fishing while were on Amelia Island, and I called Captain Jeff based on the glowing reviews here. We were not disappointed! Jeff got back to me right away with details about the trips he offers. He answered all my questions and we set the date! Our afternoon trip was awesome. We didn't... More

Every time we visit Amelia Island, we go fishing with Jeff. he's a really decent and patient guide and put us on the fish. He also taught my wife how to cast and now she's hooked on fishing too. In April 2012 we did a Cobia run, saw a few but it was a little early yet for cobia. Then... More

Capt. Jeff's knowledge of the backwater fishing spots is legendary and his fishing lore patter is priceless. There was never a dull moment; if we didn't get a bite within 10 minutes or so he pulled up anchor and went to another. By the end of the trip two Chicago City boys could bait hooks, spot the ripples where the... More
