We went our on a Thousand Island tour and had a good time. The friendly captain did his best to find us some wildlife. Even though it was a hot and calm summer day, we saw a few birds, dolphins, and manatees.

We drove down to Everglades City without making any specific plans or reservations. When we got to the park we were lucky to be able to immediately get on a tour because of some no shows. We loved the cruise. We saw dolphins, a manatee, an alligator and numerous birds. It was beautiful scenery. On the way back it started... More

Really enjoyed the ride and we did see a few manatee and quite a few birds. We saw an osprey swoop down into the water and came out with a fish. The mangroves were beautiful and the way the sun cascaded over the water was amazing.

Really glad we added this tour. We wanted to see closer in then we could with the airboat earlier that day. Captain Josh was a nice young man & pointed out that we were in a national park, not a national zoo, & that somedays there was more wildlife visible than on other days. Valid point. As it was, we... Having enjoyed a fantastic tour with www.see-manatees.com earlier in the morning, we were looking forward to this trip. Whilst we saw some stunning scenery, Captain Bill was rude and downright grumpy. He was obviously knowledgeable but only mentioned anything about wildlife when asked, spoke so quietly it was impossible to hear from the front of the boat (only sat 6... More

My wife and I had a great time on our boat tour of the mangroves last week. We were lucky enough to see two or three alligators, a mother and calf manatee, as well as countless birds. Captain Josh did a great job as a guide and took the time to track down some manatees when he thought he saw... More

My wife and I enjoyed the boat ride. A nice breeze washed over us as we sat in the shade. Our tour guide/pilot was a compendium of information about the mangrove islands and the wildlife here. Very edifying. But we didn't see much wildlife. We spotted a bald eagle perched on a denuded mangrove branch. It watched us impassively as... More

We opted for the ten thousand Island tour which takes you through the islands to the Gulf of Mexico. The boat trip lasts for about 90 mins and was very pleasant. We saw lots of birds, but the stingrays, dolphins, turtles and manatees were nowhere to be seen.

We were here May 13th 2014. We were excited to take the boat tour and see the alligators, dolphins, etc. the whole "swamp" feeling that we were told we'd see. The lady gladly took our money and told us to enjoy ourselves. Our captain (Bill) was very nice but as soon as we pulled away from the dock he cautioned... More

This trip allows you to see the mangroves up close. The boats are limited to 6 tourists so you have plenty of space and other people don't block your view. Tour guide Josh was very good, although he kept warning us and apologizing if we didn't see much wildlife. Sounds like other tourists have complained, but folks, this is not... More
