There's not a lot to see on this pontoon boat ride. Sure we saw dolphins playing and a few birds. Unless you've never been on Florida waters in the shallows, you probably won't get much out of this tour. For what it is, it's a bit pricey.

I had a wonderful time! Captain Teddy is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the Everglades' flora and fauna. I learned so much about the history and current state of both the culture and wildlife of the area. Captain Teddy is passionate about the environmental concerns of the Everglades and it was a great experience to be on this... More

We are nearby residents (Naples,FL) and have this as one of our favorite destinations when we have out of town guests. Part nature tour and part "thrill ride", the 6 person small boat tour is an up close and personal view of the mangroves of the ten thousand islands, with a variety of wildlife sightings including dolphins, osprey, tears, rays,... "Ten Thousand Islands" is a wonderful tour. We saw a lot of dolphins coming very close to the boat. We also saw ospreys and other birds. The view of calm water and green islands is fascinating.

We took the Mangrove boat tour, and had a fabulous time! We boarded a small boat, 6 passengers total, along with a park employee and set out on our adventure. Along the way, we saw many different birds and learned about the ecosystem that comprises the mangrove swamps. Once we reached the mangroves, it was like entering into a whole... More

We took the Ten Thousand Islands Cruise in Everglades National Park in Everglades City. The tour included a National Park employee who shared information about the Everglades. The boat captain also shared a lot of information about the wildlife we saw and the Everglades in general. We saw some bald eagles, osprey and other birds and a lot of cow... More

You may have heard the term "Old Florida" and what it connotes is the simpler, seedier, less genteel world of the early 20th Century settlements and tourist attractions of the Sunshine State. To reach the Everglades Ten Thousand Islands Boat Tour, you go right through what looks a museum of Old Florida itself - Everglades City. Driving through is like... More

We took the afternoon -- one and a half hour-- tour on a larger boat which almost took us to the Gulf of Mexico. We loved to learn about how the Mangrove Forest Islands are growing bigger every year, and how they clean up the water by removing the salinity from it. On the way to the Gulf we saw... More

It seems that the reviews for the two Everglades National Park Boat Tours (i.e. Ten Thousand Islands Cruise & The Mangrove Wilderness Tour are intermingled here. So, I will review both separately but in one review. We did the sunset Ten Thousand Island Cruise. This was a very pleasant, lovely boat ride with nice scenery, some wildlife and the good... More
