We took a detour to Everglades City just because of Carl Hiaasen's "Nature Girl" and stumbled upon the 10,000 island National Park boat tour. The wind was blowing at about 20 knots so we didn't expect to see all that much but decided to give it a go. We did see a number of Osprey, Dolphins, Egrets and a sea... More

If you want to see a side of the Everglades that isn't covered in mangroves and gators, take the 10,000 Islands tour. This 90 minute boat tour goes almost all the way out to the Gulf, giving you a chance to see ospreys, terns, and dolphins. Our captain was very knowledgeable, though a bit hard to hear and sometimes a... More

This was a fun and interesting tour of the 10000 Islands. Captain Steve and Chris were great. We saw a lot of wildlife.

1this boat tour runs about 1 1/2 hours long and includes a tour of the ocean side of the everglades. Each boat is accompanied by a US Forest Service guide with extensive knowledge of the local flora and fauna. The diversity of bird life is incredible. Captain Eric and First Mate Chris also went out of their way to engage... More

We enjoyed our mangrove wilderness tour. We saw dolphin and many sea birds. No manatee or alligators the day we were out but still a great time. Our captain, Josh, was knowledgeable and a lot of fun.

We took the Everglade Boat Tour of the mangrove swamps, looking for alligators, birds and other wildlife. (There is another tour that goes into the gulf more and looks for dolphin and manatee). We were disappointed in that we saw no alligators because there has not been enough rain and the water is too salty for the gators. We did... More

I was very excited to take one of the two trips that they offered. Stopped in to check on the schedule and was given a list of times for the tours. I told the cashier that I would be back the next afternoon and she gave me the times to be there. She said you need to be here 30... More

Visited the Everglades hoping to take an airboat ride and see gators. Disappointing fact: there are no air boat rides in the actual national park. They are outside, the closest being at an alligator farm. Took this 1hr 45 min boat ride instead(the only boat ride on offer unless you BYO) while the capt was very knowledgeable and fun, you... We did the Mangrove Tour with Captain Josh and it was amazing! He pointed out a lot of the wildlife including some that I would never have spotted without being told where to look. We saw a manatee in one area. The boat only holds 6 passengers so we were able to get into some of the smaller areas -... More

We booked our trip 23 hours in advance (930am) but didn't receive a confirmation until 730pm the night before. The e-mail you get after booking may cause concern - basically says they have your money but you may not get the time you asked for (no refunds). Don't worry. They book their trips every day at 8am. (If you want... More
