A very small playhouse, which means the show is right in your face. (Which is a good thing) Have been here a few times. Some of the plays are very very good, others are ok. So check before buying tickets and check reviews. Overall a enjoyable evening.

I have hesitated for a long time to go to a play here. We went to the Guthrie in Minneapolis for many years, and I was afraid it would be a disappointment. A friend invited me, and I was pleasantly surprised. The actors did a great job. I enjoyed the play very much. When you consider that it is done... More

Well it was for us! As out of town regular visitors and until recently a home owner on Rotonda I can say our normal vacation routine does not involve Playhouses but friends had purchased tickets and so off to the theatre we went! The show was 'The Fourposter' and as I'm far from being a theatre critc can't give a... More

Great theatre - well executed Take a jacket - it's cool in here Buy your tickets online - as theatre is small and fills quickly - light refreshments were available for a small donation if you choose to support the work of the casts

We're back near Englewood again. Wanted to see a play this weekend, but it was sold out, so we bought tickets for the next show. On Saturday, about ten to seven we got a call from the playhouse, "Would we like to see tonight's show? Can you make it by 7:30?" Of course we could make it, and saw "The... More

Lemon Bay Playhouse is true community playhouse. All volunteers actors, technicians, and ushers. I saw The Good Doctor enjoyable. The opening curtain speech was to long all this information is in the program just great the people tell them where the exits are and start the show.

The only difference between this community theater and a professional theater is that the actors at Lemon Bay playhouse are not paid. All volunteers. The talent is equal to or often surpasses so called professional theaters. For an intimate and bracing performance make sure you visit this remarkable playhouse.

We have been here several times. Each time the play was great. very professional and well staged with wonderful actors. It is very small and intimate, so book well in advance.

For a measly $18.00 per person, you get to have a lovely night out at the most intimate little community theater, and complimentary refreshments at intermission.... What's not to like, this is the best bargain Englewood has to offer. I have never seen a bad play here, and we are blessed with such great local talent, it's unbelievable. And the... More

The acting was very good and the stand-in for an ill actress did a wonderful job. The hospitality of the playhouse was warm and fuzzy offering us complimentary refreshments at intermission; however, I was bored with the play. Had nothing to do with the acting, the story line was just too dry even with a few tidbits of humor.
