Description:

Designed by world renowned golf course architect Donald Ross, the club...

Designed by world renowned golf course architect Donald Ross, the club opened January 1, 1927. FDunedin Country Clubrom 1945 through 1962, Dunedin Golf Club was the home of the PGA of America. During that time we hosted 18 Senior Tour Championships, and this was the beginning of the Senior PGA Tour. Back then, the PGA and PGA Tour of today were the same corporation.

In 2006 and 2007 our facility went through a major restoration with rebuilding of our greens, tees and bunkers. It's been restored to nearly the same as when legendary golf architect Donald Ross first drew up Dunedin Golf Club on the drafting table. Today, Dunedin Golf Club is one of the top clubs in the Tampa Bay area. In May, we were named "2008 Country Club of the Year" by Tampa Bay Magazine. When you tee off, you follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest golfers of all times: Al Watrous, Babe Zaharais, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Bobby Cruickshank, Byron Nelson, Cyril Walker, Gene Sarazen, Harold "Jug" McSpaden, Horton Smith, Jimmy Demaret, Louise Suggs, Sam Snead, Tommy Armour, Walter Hagan, the great Babe Zaharias and Patty Berg from the LPGA.

In more recent times the likes of Mark Calcavecchia, John Huston, Brittney Lincicome, Ben Crenshaw and many other great tour players have all played here at Dunedin Golf Club!

Our first time playing here and we loved it! Very laid back place, great, friendly service and a real solid Donald Ross (1927) Florida golf course. 18 holes with cart on a Monday morning was a great deal at $42.

A very nicely conditioned, interesting and challenging layout with tees appropriate for players from scratch to duffers. Course is old-style so it's quite walkable; no gimmicks here. Fairways and greens were very good at a time (March 2015) when many other venues were in spotty shape. Expect them to be well-maintained year round. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Terrific layout which challenges golfers of all levels. Off season rates are great value. Wide fairways with large quick greens and you have a very fair test of golf. I'm a local area resident and have played here on occasion and always enjoyed the experience. Pro shop personnel are helpfil and friendly. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I had asked a few locals about the course and did not get much feedback. It was a Donald Ross design so I was quite willing to give it a try. I really enjoyed the course. The conditions were OK. Tough starting holes and overall I thought the holes were strong with some very entertaining green complexes. It was an... More

Played this gem while visiting Tampa for a conference. Pure golf. Great, historic layout. Great value at $40 per player. Hot dog and a beer for $4. Staff was very nice and take great pride in their course. A Donald Ross beauty that is more than worth the drive from Tampa.

This is one of my favorite courses in the area. The guys in the clubhouse house very nice and helpful. The course is always in good shape. The price is fair. Call ahead for a tee time though, as it is busy during the height of the season.

How can you not LOVE for the price? I play here whenever I am visiting my family in Dunedin about twice a year. If I lived there, it would be my course of choice. It is well layed out, very challenging and thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated the marshals moving folks along and every one was friendly. I read through the... More

I play golf in Tampa roughly once per year and rarely get off the Innisbrook resort as they have some wonderful courses there. What a great decision it was to try something different. Absolutely loved the course and layout. Greens were superb and the history was an added bonus. Staff were friendly and the food was very good - excellent... More
