FDunedin Country Clubrom 1945 through 1962, Dunedin Golf Club was the home of the PGA of America. During that time we hosted 18 Senior Tour Championships, and this was the beginning of the Senior PGA Tour. Back then, the PGA and PGA Tour of today were the same corporation. In 2006 and 2007 our facility went through a major restoration with rebuilding of our greens, tees and bunkers. It's been restored to nearly the same as when legendary golf architect Donald Ross first drew up Dunedin Golf Club on the drafting table. Today, Dunedin Golf Club is one of the top clubs in the Tampa Bay area. In May, we were named "2008 Country Club of the Year" by Tampa Bay Magazine. When you tee off, you follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest golfers of all times: Al Watrous, Babe Zaharais, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Bobby Cruickshank, Byron Nelson, Cyril Walker, Gene Sarazen, Harold "Jug" McSpaden, Horton Smith, Jimmy Demaret, Louise Suggs, Sam Snead, Tommy Armour, Walter Hagan, the great Babe Zaharias and Patty Berg from the LPGA. In more recent times the likes of Mark Calcavecchia, John Huston, Brittney Lincicome, Ben Crenshaw and many other great tour players have all played here at Dunedin Golf Club! « less

Played there in an outing. 1. No Names on cart. Told to get a cart and find a partner. 2. Most players never been there. Shotgun start and told to find a hole to start. Then staff upset that we didn't double up on some holes. 3. We started 40 people at 8:30. THEY BOOKED ANOTHER TOURNAMENT AT 12:30 BY... More

The food is simple steak, chop, chicken, and seafood but always fresh and well prepared if not too imaginative. Good soups and reasonable prices. Nice to dine and watch the golfers. There are no tennis courts or a swimming pool; ergo we did not join.It is a Ross course.

Donald Ross layer out a terrific test of golf here. Looks easy, however, like many of his other courses more challenging than it looks.

This was on our list of courses this year because of another courses inability to get us on. We booked at the last minute based on the history and the hype, what a let down. It all started when we could not even get a coffee or anything else inside untill after 8:30, we teed off before that. Range balls... More

Dear John I apologize for your experience but I want to make sure you are referring to the right club. Your review is from 4/13/14 yet we had our member/member tournament this weekend. How could you have played? If you played the par 3 down the street I could understand your frustration. You mentioned that another club could not get you... More

This is a classic old Florida course put together by a great designer (Donald Ross). The fairways were plenty wide but if you strayed from them the trees were quite punishing. Unfortunately the course needs some help. On many of the holes there was little to no grass on large portions of the fairways. I fear that they probably need... More

The course was in bad shape. We waited on several holes and had a little trouble on one hole which put us behind. The course ranger was very tactless in telling us to move faster. We played 4 courses while in Dunedin and liked this one the least of the four.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and critique our golf course. We have had a winter of warm, cold, and rainy weather. We do not over seed so our transition of dormat grass to growing grass was affected more severly than normal. We are treating the grasses today and follwed by Thursdays rainy forecast then warm... The club is full of golfing history. Should be a great experience to a visiting golfer. Only the condition of some holes was not proper. Winter rool applies. Such a great course would give great memories to visitors if in proper shape. Fairways excluding the few poor ones were generally ok, roughs also, elevated greens good but slower than they... More
