The "beach" is actually a pit will a bunch of alligators lying around. You can feed them but they seem to be fed so often that they are pretty uninterested in the food you have. I would say this is one of the rare places in Destin you can go for free. Kids would like that. You have to walk through the restourant though. I have not been eating there but it looks ok, cannot be terribly expensive. The whole observation deal will take no more 20 minutes. You can buy bag of alligator food... more

My husband and I enjoyed this expierence, looking at the alligators and talking to the young men on the bottom floor. It was very interesting, we just wished we would have fed the alligators. We also took a picture with a real live alligator. You gotta do that, if you do nothing else. more
