Great park, where if you care to walk a bit even in the heat of summer can provide a fairly unencumbered space on the sand, in this sadly largely "privatized" beach expanse of hours.

Very nice beach. It was clean and not busy when we went there in April. Had picnic areas and showers to clean up after a day on the beach. Park seemed to be very well maintained. Definitely will return on our next trip!

Went camping to Henderson. Stayed 5 days January 11-16, 2015. I have never been to a State Park that is more clean, impressive, immaculate. Our site was raked, yes raked by the Park's volunteer. The bathrooms were glistening. And the privacy between the sites was much appreciated. Road our bikes every day to the boardwalk and walked the beach. I... More

Very clean. Nice boardwalk to beach. Close to everything. Like the concrete walkways between rv sites.

I have camped in a few of the Florida state parks. They are usually well managed and appealing. This was was built for large RV's. Very developed facility with level, gravel base sites. All sites have water and electricity. The public showers and baths were immaculate. There aren't any camp sites on the beach - that's a short walk away... More

We had seen and bypassed this gem for several years until about one week ago. We were delayed in traffic on I98 and drove in here just out of curiosity. It was near sunset and when we arrived at the beach Oh. WOW what a scene. There were few people and of course I had left the camera back at... More

This state park has only 60 camping sites but each are physically separated by trees, bushes, etc. so you can barely see any neighbors on either side of you. All of the roadways in and around the park are paved although the standard camp sites are pea-sized gravel, with the exception of handicap accessible sites, which are paved. All sites... More

Seems like miles of white sand, never overcrowded (when we have been there) on the one of the best beaches in the USA. A wonderful place to spend the day, the RV park is a great location for campers although we have never stayed overnight there in our motorhome, we have walked extensively throughout the park and it is just... Just 6$ to park your car but get clean restrooms and a quieter cleaner access to the lovely beach . There is a small nature trail and play Area as well.

We have been coming to Destin every year since last 4 years, and we have always used Henderson Beach state park for parking our car and for using their restrooms, picnic tables and vending machines. They also have a pavilion with picnic tables / bbq grill, and outside showers to rinse off sand. Because my family does not want to... More
