We took our dogs on the nature trail through the sand dunes and they really semmed to enjoy it. Watch out for the burs and sea shells though they tend to get in their paws. The beaches looked great. Park rangers were very polite.

Wonderful beach, clear water, white sand. We paid $6.00 entrance fee. This day was a little windy and we would have loved the ranger to tell us we couldn't get into the water before we paid and found out by ourselves, especially with small kids. Though, the beach is just awsome and very clean. The sand is snow white. No... More

Clean beach with convenient facilities. Water was clean and pretty shade of blue. Fairly crowded but still offered plenty of personal space. Great place for families.

The early morning surf provided us with some great boogie boarding!!! We liked the near empty beach, blue-green waves and sugar white sand. The entry fee to the park was worth it, knowing that we could come and go all day with a paid pass allowed us to experience early morning and late evening fun.

Two stars because the beach is amazing. Other than that, there is nothing to see/do here unless you came in an RV and plan to camp there. Don't waste your time unless you plan to go to the beach.

This park was adjacent to our B&B and we spent a lot of time on it's almost 100% uncrowded shores. It was just unbelievable to have so much beach space with so few people. My husband is a wildlife biologist, so he especially enjoyed seeing the turtle nest and bird sanctuaries and to chat with park employees about both. We... More

Huge gulf front are that the state preserved in the midst of overdeveloped a Destin. Although I own a beachfront condo, I'd choose this state park for a quiet time on the beach. Classic state park amenities include ample parking, shelters, bathrooms, showers.

The beach was really clean and close to our hotel. the restrooms and pavilion areas were also very clean. It is a perect place for families with small children. We did not see the camping area but assume it is equally as well kept as the public areas, The fee is $6.00 per day for day use but it is... More
