My husband and I took a spontaneous trip to Florida for a weekend. Our first night we arrived in time for sunset. So we went to Henderson Beach to watch. It was so lovely. Definitely a great start to our trip! The beach was very clean and well'll taken care of.

We only stayed here one night, but it's a very nice, clean, safe camp ground and beach area. It's an oasis of nature in the midst of commercialized beaches and hotels, and being a state park, the camping prices are reasonable.

We go here all the time when in the area. Had a camper for several years went every year. Not crowded, clean beaches, a few bucks per car gets you in. Highly recommended.

The beach is beautiful as they all are in Destin. Even on a cloudy day, however, there is a nice nature trail through the dunes that is worthy a visit.

If you have the opportunity to stay near Henderson State Park, I would highly recommend it. The sand is like baby powder; it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Get away from the crowds of Destin and check this place out.

The state park is easy access for all RV's. Roads are paved, wide, and well kept. Sites are large and very private. Each site has a fire ring and table. Sites are gravel but mostly level. The beach is across the boardwalk. The park is very well set up and maintained. We camped here in a 42 ft 5th wheel... More

We are visiting this area for the first time. We've had cool, rainy, windy weather during our visit. Today was the warmest day but still very cloudy and slightly windy but we decided to take a lunch and eat at the beach. Due to the breeze we sat in the car with the windows down. Just hearing the waves relaxed... More

Beautiful beach , lots of natural habitat. Can't understand why they charge so much to get in and that disappointed us . What they have there is quite nice and good size . Wide white sand beach and dunes .

We stayed at the campground and got to see the state park area as well. They charge you to go in, but it's well worth it. This park and beach are amazing. It lets you see how things were before all the commercialization. We will be coming back to this park and campground.
