We stayed across the street at The Palms. Very close to Henderson. Clean facilities and a very nice beach! Worth the entry fee.
we spent the afternoon with the children at that beach. As every beaches in Destin it was beautiful. It was almost as a private beach. Very quiet!
Costs $11 but quiet. Good restrooms, covered picnic pavilion. No lifeguards, but security person rides 3 wheeler up the beach often.
We have done a huge amount of traveling around the US and Canada and this park has no equal. The staff and volunteers are polite, helpful and dedicated. Really nice beach with bathroom facilities! The sand was awesome. very few people and crowds. Great views and easy access from the main hiway

Our second time staying here (2 weeks this time) and we will schedule next years trip as soon as we can. Secluded camp sites, very clean sites and shower houses. Love the private beach most mornings you will see only a few people walking. Never wall to wall people like some of the resort beach areas.

Although technically that makes me a rule breaker, it was handled in a wholly inappropriate manner. Manners are still necessary; even in 2014.
Henderson Beach State Park is a beautiful white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico in Destin, Florida. The park is filled with well maintained Pavilions where you can use very clean restrooms, buy ice cold drinks and have a picnic in an adjacent covered cabana area. But the best part of this wonderful state park is the incredible white... More
