The Harborwalk was a good time. We visited with friends of ours who also had small children. There was plenty to do for us all! The kids enjoyed face painting and air brushing and the adults had plenty of vendors to choose from for drinks and food. Margaritaville is in close proximity and they have a Fish Rodeo the entire... We have been here about a half-a-dozen times and always enjoy seeing the boats come in and visiting shops and restaurants here. The prices are a little high in all of the restaurants here and really doubt that many "locals" eat there regularly. We recently attended the Destin Seafood Festival during our vacation in town. It was a typical festival... More

Happened to see this whilst driving over the bridge into Destin and thought we would have a look at what was there. We found the Annual Destin fishing Rodeo in full swing. Great fun with the boats coming in and having their catches weighed by the "Wandering Weighmaster" who was acting as Master of Ceremonies". Saw an amazing array of... More

We went for a dolphin boat ride and stayed for the fireworks. Very disappointed in the fireworks. Not worth the wait.

Fun to take in the sights during this time...drinks, food, art and crafts and beautiful weather. Stroll the boardwalk and enjoy the first weekend in October. You will enjoy this!

I have never been to a seafood festival before and all the food that I tried was amazing. My favorite were the JUMBO COCONUT SHRIMP on a stick. There were craft booths, as well.

We walked the boardwalk. Plenty of places to eat. Some shops were not open yet. 12 noon. We just needed something to do, while we waited to check into our hotel.

Any visit to Destin should include a visit to the boardwalk. There are a lot of fishing boats arriving and displaying their catch. They have deep sea fishing, plenty of restaurants and bars and great views. They have regular promotions such as the Seafood Festival and Art Walk.

We enjoyed walking down the boardwalk and going through the different stores they had. It was very nice and the people are very friendly.
