We went on the cruise with 24 people from our dive shop and had a blast! The crew of the Sea Explorer Red, Carlis, Tim, Clancy, & Sam were great and super helpful! The food was wonderful and they made sure that we never ran out of rum punch! The diving was terrific with lots of beautiful wall dives, shallow... More

Had a great time with my two daughters ages 4 and 7. The crew interacted well with the kids. They made sure the parents were entertained with plenty of beverages both adult and non. They even went around asking if you wanted pictures taken. They had water guns for the kids as well as face painting and a real live... More

We booked a charter for 17 adult and youth from our Boy Scout Troop. The crew was nothing short of incredible! At the beginning of trip we planned the week to include wall dives, reef dives, drift dives, night dives and the final dive in the blue hole while the sharks were there! The food was fabulous thanks to Alex.... More

I booked this trip solo based upon reviews and speaking with Judy at Blackbeards. The pre-arranged local shuttle from the airport was convenient and reasonably priced. The crew welcomed me on the boat and helped me settle in. While space on the Morning Star was a little cramped and conditions were akin to camping, the low-cost of the trip made... More

We boarded the boat on Saturday lunchtime and had a great experience right though to Friday morning. From the offset the crew was personal, informative, jovial and professional. Once you board the boat the crew provides you with a wet bin where you can store your personal gear (fins, wet suits ect... ) and a bunk with a shelf where... More

as a child i was captivated by Jacques Cousteau's scuba adventures. this is as close as i ever feel i will come to living the experience. the "morning star" sail boat is rustic and actually based out of nassau bahamas. it is well used but well maintained. as with anything the people make or break the operation. the crew i... We arrived on the boat and were worried about the space on the boat. Lucky for us it wasen't full. Only 12 people. The crew onboard were very nice. Top professionel the whole way. We loved the primitive kitchen that made some really nice food! Almost got a big fish captured later on the trip but in the last second... More

I went for a cruise on the morning star right after Thanksgiving. We had a great crew with captain Tom in charge. The cook was eccellant. They raised the ssols several times to get us to calmer water. The acomodations are dorm/camping style and they could use new mattresses. The dives were great as we did several walls, a shark... Recently returned from a "Blackbeard's Cruise on board of the "Morning Star". For me the first time on board of a sailingvessel combined with diving. If you want luxury do not board. But if you want adventure, diving, love for the sea and meet interresting people than this is the way to do it. Accommodations and bathroom/toilets are functional. The... More

As others have said this is a no frills live aboard dive boat. If you want to be pampered this is not for you. If you want to dive than this can be the adventure you crave. Up to five dives a day no carrying of gear back and forth to the boat each day. Basic needs are provided for... More
