This park is really close to everything downtown and offers the best view of the Intercoastal as any park in town. The park is big enough to accommodate the social blends of Delray both day and night. However, the only drawback for young families with kids is that the playground area is in bad need of reconditioning. The wood has... More

The park is nice and the best kept secret in town. Plenty of parking and well lit at night. We go there often for walks and it's close to the beach too.

Nice little park along the intracoastal waterway. Bring some food you can pick up from along Atlantic Avenue restaurants/cafes and relax a few moments from hot Florida sun. There is some nice wooden playground equipment for kids. Be SURE to keep an eye on the kids because there are no safety rails along the waterway. Little fountain and kiosk for... More

Veterans Park is next to a group of shops and restaurants. That traffic makes the park safer. Unfortunately, there is no security so large groups of teens and twenties hang out. The last time I went there 4 groups of teens totally 50 or 60 kids. It wasn't safe so we left. We tried again on the weekend - same... More

This park is right at the Atlantic Avenue bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway. There are great shops, a terrific art gallery, and restaurants nearby where you can watch to boats go under the bridge (or wait for its next opening, which most have to.)

I used to love taking my kids to this park, it has such a peaceful vibe to it, lush landscaping, fields, flowers, right on the Intracoastal. Unfortunately, the playground needs some revamping and better maintenance. The last time I was there I saw a lot of litter on the ground and beer bottles.

Lovely place to walk around . Many times there are artists in the park sharing their works with the community. The benches by the intercostal are great and you can sit and watch the boats go by .

A nice and large playground area, along with some open grass fields and plenty of bench seating along the intracoastal. Relaxing place. Parking is typically available at nearly all times.

The docks are beautiful with lots of seating and cool pavilion. The wooden park needs to be fixed up a bit. Kinda dangerous for my 2 yr old. My kids like walking under the bridge to the other side and looking at the boats.

I am going to focus mainly on the play area for kids. Let's just say it has seen better days. Slides were boarded up, walking ramps were roped off, maintenance issues galore. It is a big area which is great but is in a decayed state and in real need of updating. Should be a fantastic area to take children... More
