First this is a park that is run by Broward county and access is only by boat and the shuttle they have is free (give a couple of bucks in a tip if you can)and runs on the weekend only. I was pleasantly surprised to see what it had to offer . You can spend as little as 45 minutes... More

This is a hidden gem in Deerfield - a great break from the urban world. Its a good weekend getaway but does not consume too much time.

We've been wanting to check out this little island for some time now as we drive by it frequently. It was a great nature hike for no fee at all. Shuttles to and from island run right on time. Trails and island in general very well kept. Was nice to visit a place right int he middle of the city... More

IT was fun, we went on a night tour the first of its kind and learned alot about the island. We learned about the gopher tortoise that lived on the island and that you can boat to it for free. Would love to go back!

On weekends, a shuttle boat brings you across the river to the island. it takes about 5 minutes to get across, and you can see the whole little island within an hour, maybe two if you are really taking your time. There are restrooms and a soda vending machine, you need to bring food if you want to picnic there.... More

Nice place to explore. Not a lot t do there but worth going to. Would be a nice place to have a BBQ, but lugging everything over would be a chore.

This lovely park is a great find...free boat transport to a small island with nature trails. Best part of your visit will be sitting on the intercoastal watching the boats go by. Bring your lunch, fishing rod, or paints and enjoy a beautiful shaded venue!! Handicap parking available.

The free 5 minute boat to the Island leaves every hour from Sullivan Park from 10AM thru 3 PM during the summer. We were checking to see if this might be a good place to take our grandsons when they visit. I don't think the dock area would be safe foy young kids, as it has a floating dock and... More

We recently visited the island on a whim; we are so glad we did! You can access the island via a small ferry which runs on the hour every hour from 10 am to 4 pm on the weekends. (I'd check for updated hours as a previous reviewer experienced different hours.) If you have your own small boat, you can... More
