This beach was spotless. Everyone we approached was really friendly. The weather wasn't ideal, but just to be there and take in the sights and atmosphere was a treat.

Daytona has great beaches and no "Parking Nightmares" like in many other cities in Florida (South Beach and Lauderdale).... You can just drive up onto the beach and park and the beaches are so big there is room for everyone! As you travel up and down the 28 or so mile long beach you will find some places have much... We decided to visit the "world's most famous beach" en route to St. Augustine from Orlando. I wish we hadn't. Apart from being able to park for free within ten yards of the beach, everything was terrible. The dreary apartment blocks and hotels are twenty years plus the wrong side of renewal. The local restaurants seemed to think they were... More

We have one of the few beaches in the world you can drive on. Lay on a towel or chair right next to your car. Downside, tides come in and alcohol not allowed (can be concealed easy enough). Water is clean and usually there is some surf to play in. Sharks don't eat much and there is good fishing for... More

We've been to many beaches in Florida, Gulf coast, and Caribbean. Daytona has a wide expanse of clean soft sand with a gradual incline. There are no restrictions on putting up your own umbrella or tent/awning. No dogs or open containers. Many food and toy vendors. Reasonable prices. Some streets near the beach are a little seedy, but the beach... More

The beach is great with food vendors, lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent. Some vendors have boogie boards and other beach toys. I highly recommend Daytona Beach. It's clean and not too overly crowded. If you rent a lounge chair you will have an excellent location to relax and spend the day.

Been coming to this beach for over 50 years. The very best beach anywhere. The sand is pretty, flat, and the beach is plenty wide at low tide for beach sports. Not near as much traffic as there used to be. Great for laying out and walking on the beach.

I live on this beach and it is great for walking, surfing, swimming, driving, "people watching," fishing and relaxing.

I like that it's one of those beaches that if you flew in, you wouldn't have to rent a car if you stayed near the pier. Just taxi in and there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment to keep you busy without leaving the area. I love the walkways around the pier area. It has an old time feel to... More

The worlds most famous lived up to it's name. Can't wait to go back again. The beaches at St. Augustine are not as nice
