Stayed right on the beach, just steps from the hotel door. We were there during a cold spell and could not sit on the beach, had heavy jackets on and were still cold. Drove on the beach several times and enjoyed all the seagulls at sunset trying to get the last bit of sunshine in. There must have been a... More

Daytona beach is a great place for a relaxing walk in December it is best to walk in the morning before the sun goes behind the high rises. When the tide is out again allows you to stay out of the shadows of the high rise buildings giving you more sun as you walk. I also enjoy the treasures that... More

Stopped here with the family. Could go out quite a ways before it got deep. The view is great and the kids had a blast!

If you are a runner, you will love Daytona Beach. The beach is super long and flat. The sand is compact and perfect for jogging and walking. I want to say it's the best beach in the world for it. Note, if you are looking for sugary white sand like the Caribbean, look elsewhere.

Love the gorgeous broad beach and the pelicans! You can walk out very far before it's over your head.

We have been coming to Daytona Beach for 35 years. The beach is beyond compare. The sand packs perfectly for walking and the water is always a perfect blue and super clean. The Beach is exceptionally safe and never that crowded except during Winter Break and even then you can find your own private area without too much looking. I... More

Parking is tough at most beaches but here you just pull up and park on the beach and that's your blanket

Daytona Beach's beaches are some of the cleanest and nicest beaches I have seen in Florida. There are still areas where you can drive on the beach. They also have areas where you can walk without worrying about the cars. The best beach walk is after the cars leave the beach and the tide is out. Very quiet. Great fishing... More

What can I say about the beach at Daytona Beach. There is the ocean and there is sand. It is a great beach that is clean and you can drive on it. I think the being able to drive on it is really cool. The best part of the beach is how clean it was and depending where you are... More

December is nice and cool, it's not crowded. The sunrises were amazing all week, you can walk for miles on the beach. We walked down the beach from our hotel to restaurants on two different nights.
