If you feel the need to fulfill your religious duty, by attending church on Sunday morning, but don't want to get dressed up, enter a church building and have everyone look at you, you can wear your shorts and flip flops, stay in your vehicle, and attend church.

We attended Easter services at the Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church and had a great experience. Attending church services with a toddler can be difficult at times, but the drive-in church allows us to worship as a family (including the toddler meltdowns). I truly enjoy having services outdoors and the location offers a gentle ocean breeze. I even enjoy honking... More

As a Christian, I love how the drive in church allows us to worship casually and uniquely while we are on vacation. My children have grown up having the experience as a part of our annual trip to Daytona. We love the idea and that we can come dressed casually and stay in the comfort of our car. Since the... More

Interesting. Worth driving by or walking by as it was certainly different. I would be surprised if you will ever come across something like this in another part of the country.

What a neat concept, wasn't sure what to expect. We were greeted as we pulled and everyone was friendly. You can go inside and watch the service, sit on benches in the shade or remain in your car. We stayed in our car like most others listening to the service on the radio, the preacher is stands outside on the... More

Drove in to the church, tuned to the station, listened to devotional songs and a little bit of the sermon. Interesting concept and one of a kind church. You can actually park your car and walk around in the church which I did. Unique... The trip advisor mobile app will show this attraction on the opposite side of the road.... More

My family and I, along with our dog, attended the Christmas Eve Service at the Drive-in Church last night. It was a beautiful service. The sermon and the songs caused us to focus on the true meaning of the Holiday. Cars would honk if they liked a song or something, and standing outside of our cars with glow stick in... More

We missed the sermon but we drove around to get an idea of how this works. Its like a drive-in theater so you hear the sermon on the drive-in speakers. I actually loved the idea. Great for tourist in the area! If we go back, we are going to make sure we don't miss it again.

Right across Atlantic Avenue and just south of the city, a Christian Church has built a unique sanctuary -- a drive-in theater. Pull in with you car, facing the chancel with its pulpit and table, and worship in a very different venue. There are two worship services with an educational program sandwiched in between. Ushers don't worry about seating; they... More
