This boardwalk has a long history. It is in renewal but two arcades, the Mardis Gras fun Center and Joyland are supposed to be sticking around as a new hotel is built behind them. We stayed near this pier and didn't see the sky lift operating at all during the entire week we were there (09/05/08-09/11/08). Perhaps we missed it, but probably not.
