Admittedly, this came after a week at Disney, but this area didn't offer much of an appeal. The oceanfront location is beautiful but you can find that without coming to the Pier area. A couple of decent restaurants and typical tourist shopping areas along with some carnival type rides are about the sum of the area. We enjoyed walking the... More

Nothing much different from any other board walk but well maintained and new looking, improvements visible.

I'm originally from NJ and I am used to boardwalks like Wildwood and Seaside Ht's. Here there isn't much, an arcade and a couple of gift shops, disappointing for me but may be enjoyed by others

The pictures online look good. The 'rides' are so old and run down I was scared to send my daughter on them, so I didn't. It was like a scary fair. We let her ride the go carts which was a waste of money but it was something for her to do. The boardwalk is tiny and they have like... More

I lived here for 5 years in the early '70s. The pier was taken out by a hurricane in recent years but has been rebuilt. We were happy to see they have left it a free entry. There were lots of fishermen trying their best, a few surfers working hard to catch pretty small waves and the ever present Boardwalk.... More

It was a really nice day to walk the Boardwalk. I enjoyed the plaques along the Boardwalk commemorating the milestones leading up to NASCAR, even though I am not a NASCAR fan. History is history. Those guys were crazy!

The amusement area has about 10 rides at most and none of them seemed very safe for me to climb on. The ferris wheel was just standing there with no takers. The slingshot however was quite busy. The lighting in the area was pretty good. The boardwalk was clean and highly walkable. The boardwalk starts around the daytona bandshell area... More

Ridiculously expensive - $5-7 per ticket per ride per person. Beware that many of the businesses are not locally nor American owned. A great deal of the businesses have been closed leaving much realestate vacant. The amusement area is located beach front near the pier. Over a period of several years we have never really seen this place busy however... More

My daughter(16) & I rode the sling shot and that was fun. The kids rode the go carts and they were nothing to write home about. We like fast go carts with a lil "bumping" allowed. Its a small track and waited 1 hour to ride and the line wasn't that long. There was an arcade in a building. The... More
