It was a fun place to see some gardens and some animals such as an alligator and the Florida panther but it's not very big.

We were Looking for a day trip activity and came upon FG as an option - reviews are dead on - it's small / interesting collection of animals / botanical tram tour was informative and pretty in certain locations - but it's old / outdated / and dirty on many levels....would not go back - recommend for those with young... This is much better than the beach. I last visited almost three years ago and could not wait to return. We went with relatives who live in the area and once again were impressed with the mission of the place, the beautiful plants, birds and animals. They have new additions: a black bear and a Florida panther (who joined the... More

I had seen brochures of this attraction for years, but now with a discount there was an excuse to finally visit. Unlike most zoos, the majority of the animals found at this location are native to Florida. The foliage is beautiful as well. We didn't take the tram tour as it was an additional fee, so we walked. My favorite... More

This was a beautiful park with lush gardens and some local wildlife. The tram was worth the $4 to see more of the grounds. The staff was friendly.

We went during September, when the normal $18 admission was half off, and only $6 on Saturdays for residents. You step through the gift shop straight into a rain forest. Huge Champion trees, wild orchids, brooks, lizards, and peacocks striding across the landscape. Really beautiful, and otherworldly. We found the Aviary, an watched as the birds ate (dead) baby chicks.... More

Real Florida Flora and Fauna, black bear new viewing area and who doesn't like otters. Trolly ride shows many of the native plants and trees. Awesome sampling of exotic plants in the southwest corner. Good Florida history tours through the Wray house.
