I have visited many zoos and animal preserves across the country, but this was by far, the best! The animals are well-cared for and the owners are a wealth of knowledge. My husband and I went on the vehicle tour, but there are opportunities to do the tour by segway or camel. The animals live on a huge ranch. There... More

My fiance and I are spending 2 days in Tampa on the way home to Canada after a cruise. We went on the Segway safari this afternoon and had a great time! When we first arrived we were greeted by the owners who were very welcoming and friendly. It is a husband and wife team who own and run the... More

Today, my wife and 12 year old daughter and I had an opportunity of the lifetime and visited the Giraffe Ranch on Mickler Road. As NY'ers, the drive from Orlando to Dade City was exciting and eye opening. Besides driving past the Lakeland Orange Groves we also saw Florida in a different light. We have been so exposed to Florida... More

My son and I did the 11am tour and were so impressed from the moment we arrived to the second we had to leave. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. The instructions/information and tour were so thorough, we did not want to leave. The encounters with the animals were controlled, yet open and personal. We loved it and would highly... More

My family visited the Giraffe Ranch in November 2014. We did the jeep safari with the lemur feeding, otter feeding, and the behind the scenes(rhino feeding and hosing) add ons. The total price was $495 before tax for my wife, my 3 year old son, and myself. This is a lot, but is on par with other similar experiences I... More

My husband and I went on the Camel Expedition and the Ring Tail Lemur Feeding; both were truly amazing experiences. The lemurs were eager to eat the grapes right out of our hands! The camel expedition around the preserve was truly serene as we were able to see giraffes, rhinos, zebra's, antelope, and cattle. Highly recommend that you bring a... More

It was very educational and hands-on with some of the animals...especially the Camel who almost jumped into the jeep with me!! Guess he liked me!! I would highly recommend this experience to all...old and young!!

We enjoyed a group tour (1/2 price with 20 or more persons). We saw mostly, mammals with some reptiles and birds. Most were breeding populations of rare and endangered species, retired lab animals, and exotic animals with interesting life histories. We enjoyed a walking tour of the caged animals, and a safari ride in a modified bus to feed Giraffe,... More

We loved every minute of our camel ride! Seeing the fantatic Giraffe Ranch from camel back was awesome! Four camels and two guides. Elena, one of the owners, provided a fun and knowledgeable commentary. We also had a short walking tour to see many animals and got a ride in the safari truck to feed the giraffes. We highly recommend... More

We had a great day at Giraffe Ranch such an amazing place they make sure that they spend time with all their guests and they share their knowledge of there animals with all their guests. They made our dreams come true by feeding the giraffes. The couple that own Giraffe Ranch are so passionate about what they do it really... More
